Safia kept her eyes closely trained on Starlight for the rest of the day. To put it frank she looked suspicious as fuck all day. The interviews continued throughout the day for Stormfront and Starlight, A-Train attending a few here and there as a special guest. Safia had lounged in her assigned directors chair throughout all of them, falling asleep at one point out of boredom. She had probably attempted to get an alcoholic drink off a pa about ten times- which was promptly shut down by Ashley every time and made Safia surely regret getting her rehired. For her personal safety she'd kept her distance from Stormfront, not offering so much as a glance or two and avoiding her at any cost.
That was until in her investigation of Starlight, the blonde had gone right up to the new black haired hero.
Safia's eyes rolled back in her head, walking away inconspicuously and dropping herself on a waiting area couch.
God it had been a long day... She really wasn't cut out for this spying life- it was exhausting.
She sank into the cushions, letting out a sigh. The weight of her current life felt crushing. She felt like a fucking lab-rat with the amount of tests and procedures that had been done in hopes to make his super-baby. Luckily for her Madelyn's injections were still in affect and much to Homelander's dismay every single test had come back negative.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching. She looked up to see Stormfront standing there, a curious and annoyed expression on her face.
"Hard work being pretty?" Stormfront scoffed.
"Harder work listening to you yap all day in those interviews,"
"Lounge around all day but still so much to say,"
Safia's big eyes rolled back, narrowing in on the supe, "don't you have someone to go convince you're 'just like them'?"
"I usually wouldn't recommend getting on my bad side,"
"Why? You don't have a good one."
"Cute," Stormfront rolled her eyes, turning on her heel and walking away. Safia watched her walk away, a slight smile present on her face. It wasn't nice- but God did it feel good to put that bitch in her place.
She got to her heeled feet, peaking around the corner to spot Starlight by herself shoving a small pink bag in her boot quickly.
Quickly Starlight had raced off in direction of her apartment. Slowly one foot in front of the other Safia had casually sashayed after the blonde, attempting her best to continue her inconspicuous spying. As the electrical powered superhero walked into her apartment, Safia stepped out only to quickly hide again as A-Train appeared at her door.
She frowned from her hiding spot, watching as he sped into the apartment. What the fuck was he doing...
Those heeled feet tiptoed to the door, her ear to the door, listening in as the woman inside was threatened.
"Homelander should have charred your ass as soon as he found out that you were fucking Hughie," she heard A-Trains voice through the door.
"Hughie saved your life. We both did," Starlight defended herself.
"Your mistake."
"Okay, if you just give me a minute, I can explain,"
"You know, I just want you to think about me when you're getting the skin peeled off your face, bitch."
That was the last straw. The brunette opened the door, stepping in and shutting it closed behind her.
"Safia?"
