"What the fuck..." Safia uttered, lifting her head up slowly and painfully. She felt her hands tied behind her back, back pulled tight against a chair. Her barely open eyes looked around the room, not recognising a thing, "where are we?""Being held captive in my house,"
The brunette glanced over at the sound next to her. "Ugh, you're here," she complained, catching sight of Madelyn Stilwell tied to a chair beside her.
"That's what bothers you about this?" Madelyn critiqued.
"I've been captive for years, it's way better without you," the Cuban rolled her eyes, glancing at Madelyn's middle. "Cute vest, where's mine?" she wondered, eyes widening at the sheer amount of explosive strapped to her.
"Don't feel too lucky Saf, that blast will take youse both out," Billy advised, strutting into the room and leaning against a bench.
"This isn't what I thought of when you said get revenge," the hispanic gritted up at her kidnapper.
The blonde leaned over slightly, whispering under her breath, "you can reach and untie my hand..."
"You think I'm going to untie you? Holy shit that's rich... why the fuck would I?" Safia slurred incredulously, practically laughing in her face.
"Maybe to escape? Not die tonight?"
"I'm sick of waiting, let's just get it over with,"
Billy chuckled, tilting his head at the intoxicated woman, "feeling suicidal are we? What's brought that on?"
"Whatever you drugged me with, plus the seven or eight shots I did before that," she replied to the man before turning back to Madelyn, "did you fuck him?"
"Really?" she gritted in reply
"You bitch..." Safia gaped, mouth agape in shock.
"Forgot how much fun you were, doc, life of the party as usual,"
Her gaze moved to look up at Butcher with big drunk puppy dog eyes, "got a cig, Butch?"
Butcher rolled his eyes at the typical behaviour- something that hadn't changed in all these years. He fished out a packet from his pocket, placing a cigarette in between her lips and lighting it.
The sound of thunder hit their ears, followed by a whoosh and thud. Something had landed up above. Safia stared at the roof, puffing quicker on her cigarette.
"Well, well, well... bout fucking time. I know you can see through the ceiling. You try to kill me... and my trigger finger goes soft... two for the price of one, ey?" he quizzed to what looked like no one, holding up his hand with the detonator. "Now... why don't you stop playing rapey-Santa... and come down and join us?"
Homelander appeared at the end of the hall, shockingly holding baby Teddy in his arms. "Take it easy," he shushed, "we don't want to upset Teddy, right?"
"What are you doing?" Madelyn questioned in a panic the moment she spotted her infant son.
"Hey, look: Mommy," the hero in blue pointed, wandering closer to the two women, "you all right?"
"No."
"Madelyn..."
"Take him upstairs." she ordered as he strolled casually in front of her.
"All good. I got it. I got it." he smirked, stepping in front of his fiancee, "you ok baby? Look like you're making yourself comfortable," he mocked, glaring at the cigarette hanging from her lips.
"Segura," she mumbled with a drowsy, crooked half smile.
He turned on his heel towards the kidnapper. "Billy Butcher. You don't mind if I call you Billy, right? Y-You are pretty darn impressive. I mean, especially for, you know, one of you. See, even now, most people standing where-where you are would be pissing their pants terrified, but you... uh, sure, y-your heart's pounding, but you're not afraid. It's anger. That's a new one for me."
