end of shift, misato had appeared in adriel's office, with asuka in tow

"this should be interesting" i muttered, before putting my business face on

"colonel katsuragi, miss langley what can i do for you" i asked

"i wish to vouch for her joining the handler initiative, as one of NERVs top" misato said, i snorted

"is that all" i asked

"what the hell does that mean" asuka demanded

"it means, it took you long enough" i said

"huh" they both said shocked

"what do you think i was gonna refuse one of the original EVA pilots, are you out of your mind, she had a place here since i took over, even before that i am sure, she just had to ask for it" i said, her spear is waiting for her, she simply has to take it, i believe i have found that flaw i was missing, and the spear should complete itself upon her claim of it, colonel katsuragi i am sure you know the way" i said, misato smiled

"yes sir" misato said

"you won't regret this" asuka said

"oh i am well aware, that is the one good thing i can say about you, the great asuka langley-soryu is the most dedicated person i have ever met, and i work with rei ayanami" i said, she nodded, before turning from him re-entering the elevator, tears flowing down her face, both of pride and gratitude

"welcome home, handler soryu" misato said

"thank you colonel, i wont let you down, i won't let him down" asuka said, misato smiled

"you've changed" misato noted

"having your mother back helps" asuka said

asuka had claimed her spear, and reclaimed her EVA as result, and just as adriel thought the final component to the weapon fell into place, the missing piece, for it was asuka herself

"you've changed since returning here" rias said as she walked in the office

"i just didn't know how to obtain the closer i needed" i said as i got up and walked towards her lifting her chin as i placed my lips against hers

"am i finally your wife" she asked

"yes, you are mine, and i will not be letting you go anymore" i said, she smirked

"good" she whispered in his ear as they shared another deep kiss, she could feel him holding onto her

"are you going to pay attention to what the rest of us want" rias asked, i chuckled

"we can go to training right now if you'd like" i said

"that'd be perfect" rias said, i smirked

"that means you as well my dragoness" i said, she smirked

"of course" she said

and as he promised adriel did take a very active role in the training of his and rias's peerage, it made many devil heirs excited, sona, heiress to the sitri family, and a good friend to both me and rias, came to my home one day

"sona welcome" i said, she nodded

"it is a pleasure to see you again adriel, rias" sona said, i chuckled

"you still have yet to learn to let your hair down i see" i said

"and it seems you have, i have never seen you so happy before" sona said, i shrug

"i finally have a reason to be happy" i said, as i looked on to see rei had joined the training of my servants as i accepted her as one of my seven spears, i had accepted asuka too, as she had asked, she was still learning to master her EVAs power and my peerage were helping her to do so, as they also broke her in for me

"sairaorg and i have entered into betrothal" sona informed them, which caused them to recoil in surprise, neither of them believed for a moment, that he beat sona in chess, the only person to ever come close was adriel himself, and he intentionally lost the match

"he and i have grown close, it helps that he is also my dragon, so we have been spending a lot of time training together, you have given us devils a lot of free time lord marchosias" sona said offhandedly

"yes, just not the next level, it wouldn't be fair since i will be using regulus nemea, and i want a fair match" sona said, i gave it some thought

"alright we're in" i said, she nodded

"how does two weeks from this weekend sound" sona asked

"that's fine but if we do that, then the reward won't start until the weekend after the fight" i said

"of course, it wouldn't be as much fun otherwise" sona said, she stood

"i shall inform sairaorg he will be excited to face you" sona said

"you do realize that neither side once the peerage of the other, we just want the kings" rias asked, i shook my head

"we don't necessarily care about sona's, and sairaorg's peerage, they definitely care about ours" i said
