Crossing my fingers and sighing, I ran for the stairs

"There you are" Christian shot and bullets flew right by me, but I didn't get hit

I kept running and made it to the exit of the hotel. I quickly grabbed a taxi and told him to take me home. My adrenaline was pumping fast right now. I could barely feel my wound. From a block away from my house, I saw flames. The closer I got, I realized it was my house

I got out of the taxi. My whole house was up in flames. Christian did this. The firefighters were trying to put the fire out. It's already too late. Everything I have is gone

After walking for two hours, I knocked on a door

The door opened "Serena?....."

"Hi, Auntie Ann......"

"It's been a long time...... Where have you been?...... Is that blood on your shirt?....."

"Can I come in. I'll explain everything"

Auntie Ann let me in. Thank god she still lived here after so long. I sat on the couch and explained EVERYTHING as vividly as I could. Ann is my mother's sister, but they NEVER got along. They cut each other off when I was 16. Even though my mom and Ann weren't close, I was shocked when Ann didn't even know that my mother was dead. Someone should've told her. I would've if I remembered her number after those 10 years

"So.......I need to ask you a favor" I said

"Anything"

"You know how you used to be in a gang"-(gco)

"No. Whatever it is, no"

"You didn't even let me finish. I was just wondering if you were still in contact with some people. I'm not asking for their help, but I'm gonna need things to protect myself with....."

"So you're asking for weapons?....."

"Please......"

"Fine"

After driving for 30 minutes, Ann and I ended up at a really shady house. It looked semi familiar. Ann lead me to the front door. She knocked hard on it in like some secret code. This guy, who looked like he was about 7ft, opened the door. He looked at Ann and let us in. We walked down to a basement which turned out to be a shooting range also

"Wait here" Ann told me before walking over to a guy

While Ann and the guy talked, he kept looking at me. He nodded at Ann and she motioned me over to a table full of weapons. I picked up a handgun

"Do you know how to shoot a gun" Ann asked

I shot at the target five times, hitting the bullseye with every shot "Eh. I'm alright"

"Just like your mother...... Too good at everything" Ann said

"What can I take with me"

Ann handed me two handguns and a switch blade "Be careful"

"I will. I love you"

"I love you too" Ann hugged me

I walked down the street, heading back to the hotel. Then I heard a ringing. It's a payphone..... I answered it
