twenty ; beautiful pain (hyunlix) [part two]

As people life teaches us to stay away from the things that harm us. We learn not to touch hot stoves by burning our fingers. We learn to be careful with scissors by accidentally knicking our palms. We learn from touching things, smelling them, seeing them.

It also prepares us for shock. Our bodies can go into shock at any moment from any little thing. But Felix never expected to be in as much shock as he was in that moment as he stood in the bathroom of his new apartment, tears brimming his eyes.

He'd been feeling sick and had started to become slightly sensitive to smell and he only took the damn test to see if it would be negative and he could put his thoughts to rest. But it wasn't negative. It was positive. He was pregnant. With his ex husbands child. Although they'd fought that night Hyunjin and Felix still slept together after Hyunjin said he wanted a divorce. Felix thought maybe it would fix things and Hyunjin just wanted to be with husband one last time even though he was angry.

"I'm here!" Jisung's voice echoed from the kitchen, "I am too!" He heard Beomgyu shout.

Felix hid the test in one of the drawers and wiped his eyes before walking out of the bathroom, faking a smile so his friends wouldn't question him. But his smile quickly faded as he seen the bottle of alcohol the pair had brought over for them all to share as they watched romantic comedies.

"We got all your favorite stuff!" Beomgyu grinned, "Even that wine that you love that's extremely hard to find this time of year! I convinced Namjoon to save you a bottle of it, I better get a hug for that."

Felix laughed nervously, faking a small smile as he nodded. "I'm actually feeling kinda nauseous so I'm gonna skip out on the drinking for now if that's alright," He said in a soft voice and Beomgyu nodded as Jisung sniffed the air.

"You smell different," Jisung said, eyeing Felix curiously.

Damn, Felix had forgotten Jisung's perfect sense of smell. "Oh yeah it's a new cologne I'm trying!" Felix lied, before grabbing a bowl of the hot Ramyeon Jisung had bought and rushing over to get comfortable on the couch. How was he supposed to tell them? Was he just supposed to blurt it out like 'Hey guys I know me and Hyunjin just got divorced like two months ago but we slept together the night he said he wanted a divorce and now I'm pregnant with his child!' He couldn't just say that. They'd give him so much hell for not telling Hyunjin.

"Why are you so quiet tonight?" Jisung asks as he noticed how off Felix seemed. He wasn't his normal self.

"Give him a break he just got divorced," Beomgyu sighed.

"Yeah like two months ago! Hyunjin's the asshole for leaving him. He needed space and Hyunjin couldn't see that," Jisung exclaimed.

"Hey, I was in the wrong too. He needed me and I left without even asking how he felt. It's partially my fault as well," Felix butted in, shaking his head. He still cared for Hyunjin and he wasn't going to let their mutual talk about him like that.

"There it is, that heart of gold. You're too kind Lixie," Jisung smiled softly and gently poked Felix's cheek.

A month later Felix had agreed to go out with Jisung to celebrate Minho's birthday with all their friends and he regretted the choice immediately when he realized they were going out to a bar to celebrate. How was he supposed to lie his way out of this? He couldn't just drink either. He was pregnant and he wasn't going to risk anything.

"You made it!" Jisung shouted as Felix followed Jeongin inside the bar that Jisung had rented out for the night. He had a way of going all out for birthdays.

"I did!" Felix grinned before handing Jisung a black gift bag and telling him it was for Minho.

"I'm not drinking tonight by the way, I'm taking a cleanse. I need to stay sober for awhile, it's for my health," Felix whispered to Jisung who just sighed before pulling Felix along to sit at the bar between Minho and Chan.
