( here's part three for my amazing readers!! )
It had been months since Hyunjin and Felix had mutually decided to work on their relationship, repairing and rebuilding their love as they prepared for the birth of their daughter. Their relationship was going great, Hyunjin was beginning to have doubts. He was so mentally prepared the first time he and Felix were expecting and now he felt like he was a total mess. He was constantly near Felix, afraid to leave his partner's side. And although Felix said Hyunjin being so clingy didn't bother him Hyunjin could tell he was annoying Felix.
One afternoon, after Jisung and Jeongin had taken Felix to go shopping for baby clothes, Hyunjin sat on the couch beside Chan as he let out all of his pent up emotions.
"I just...I don't know what to do Chan," Hyunjin sniffled, wiping his eyes. "I'm so scared. I-I'm terrified. What if I'm a horrible father and she ends up hating me?"
Chan chuckled softly and softly rubbed Hyunjin's shoulder. "Jinnie, this is all stemming from the fear of losing her. You're afraid of her coming into this world because as parents we can only protect our children from so much," Chan spoke in a gentle but reassuring tone as he tried to comfort Hyunjin. "You've also got to remember that parents make mistakes. Alot. They mess up, say the wrong things. Trust me, I was terrified when I found out I was going to be a father. But once you hold that little girl in your arms, You'll know that everything will be okay."
Hyunjin sniffled softly and nodded his head, deep down he knew Chan was right.
"A father's love is like no other. Once you hold her in your arms, you'll understand what it means to love someone more than anything in this world, even more than you love Felix. It's the type of love that's undying. Once it's there it will never, and I mean never, go away," Chan said softly.
A week or so later Hyunjin had been in the shower when he heard Felix shout his name and he bolted out of the steamed up bathroom, slipping a towel around his waist and nearly falling flat onto the floor of He and Felix's bedroom as he tried to gasp for breathe.
"What's wrong?!" Hyunjin gasps, trying to catch his breath.
"She's moving.." Felix gleamed, reaching a hand out for Hyunjin to grab.
Hyunjin sat down on the edge of the bed and let Felix place his hand against his stomach, closing his eyes as he felt a small kick against his palm. "Talk to her," Felix whispered and Hyunjin nodded.
"Hi Jagiya," Hyunjin said, rubbing his thumb against Felix's stomach, "It's your daddy talking, I hope you know how excited I am to meet you my sweetheart."
A flutter of kicks erupted in Felix's belly and Hyunjin's began to glass over with tears as he sat there in awe at how special it was to feel those kicks against his palm, knowing in just a few weeks he would be able to hold his daughter in his arms for the very first time.
"So-won," Hyunjin mumbled.
"What was that?" Felix asked.
"So-won. It means wish and hope...I think thats what her name should be. She's everything we hoped for, she's healthier than we wished for. It's perfect.." Hyunjin explained.
"Hwang So-won," Felix smiled softly.
Weeks later the hyunlix sat in the new nursery they'd just finished setting up. They'd painted the walls a soft pink color, so pale it was almost white. They'd decided to go with a teddy bear theme nursery, choosing soft pink and brown colored decor. A small bassinet was in the corner of the room, pink blankets and a soft teddy bear occupying the bassinet as the couple added the last few finishing touches.
