After months of grieving over the lost of the Claire woman Nikole and Damon set out to Chicago where they were told some of the Mikaelson had been spotted. When they arrived they had discovered that the youngest Salvatore was there also but he tried to avoid them as much as possible not wanting to deal with the drama that was his brother and now sister in law. Stefan had heard about the wedding and knew that he should had gone but couldn't find a care in the world to actually go.

Damon and Nikole were sitting in a local diner trying to look as normal as possible when a man matching the description of her father walked by. Nikole was nervous this was the first time she would actually get to meet her father that had no earthly idea she existed. "You want me to go with you?" Damon whispered seeing the nervousness on his wife's face. The woman shook her head "I need to do this on my own. Mom said the necklace would prove it to him." She stated as she slowly stood up from her seat and walked in the direction the man went. Heading outside she heard the struggle of fighting and rushed to it noticing her father was being held down my a man stronger then him she quickly shoved him off.

Niklaus who was still against the wall looked up shocked when the felt the weight of his father get shoved off of him. Niklaus noticed it was a young girl who look a bit like his ex lover expect the hair and eye color. The original couldn't explain it but he felt a protective pull to this girl and he didn't know how he felt about it. Niklaus was cut out of his shocked state when he saw his father began to rush at the girl. He quickly rushed over grabbed the girl and made his escape into another alley where he quickly let go of the girl. "Who are you?" He asked looking closer at the girls facial features. Nikole stuttered she had this thought out but now that she was face to face with the man she always wanted to meet she couldn't form words. "Speak I don't have all day!" He exclaimed slowly losing his patience's. "You knew my mother Nadia Claire." She whispered causing Niklaus heart to skip a beat at the woman he never fell out of love with. "I'm sorry mother? Last I heard she was a vampire." He stated trying to keep his harsh tone. "She is or was but she had a gift that allowed her to carry children of the one she truly loved. uh I'm her daughter and also your daughter. She sent me to find you." She stated looking him in the eyes that matched hers.

Nikole gasped as she was slammed against the wall of the alleyway. "I won't be played a fool little girl what is your business." He asked harshly. "My necklace. She said to show you my necklace." She exclaimed trying not to show her fear. Niklaus slowly looked around her neck seeing the necklace he had given Nadia when they started dating. "Mom, told me it was special to you and wanted me to have it." She whispered watching her father closely. The man looked up at the girl again slowly letting her go. "What's your name?" He asked showing a slight softness in his voice as he looked at the necklace. "Nikole Elizabeth Salvatore but it was Mikaelson before I got married. Mom named me after my father and my uncle." She answer. "He was-." She went to add only to be interrupted. "Her best friend." Nik whispered thinking back to all the pranks that Nadia and Kol would do together. "Where is she?" Nik asked watching as the sadness filled his newfound daughter's eyes. "She died a couple years ago. She was out for a walk and was attacked by a werewolf." She whispered tears building up in her eyes. "Her wish was for me to find you and reveal myself so I'd still have some family besides my husband and brother in law." She added purposefully leaving Marcel out because the said man asked her not to mention him.

Nik didn't know why he did it but he pulled the girl into a tight embrace. Letting her cry against his chest. "It's ok little dove, you've got me now." He whispered against her head unaware that little dove was the nickname Nadia called her and also unware of how much it meant to hear that nickname again. Nikole hugged her father tightly happy she finally found him. "I'm glad I got to meet you, mom told me a lot about you and your family." She whispered pulling away from Niklaus. "She really did love you."
