(𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐟𝐚𝐧'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕)
She looked absolutely breathtaking. If only I had been better at expressing myself, just enough for her to know how truly beautiful she is. It killed me when she gave me that look of uncertainty
after receiving the compliment. It led me to wonder what else she didn't know about herself. And that led me to fantasize about helping her remember. I tilted my head and watched her with curiosity as she hid her basket behind her frame with such insecurity that it would lead you to believe that it'd been stuffed with coal.I expected nothing from her. I brought her here to observe how she carries herself and see the look on her face as she takes in the feast I offered. Of course, I couldn't eat any of the human food, and I was worried about what she'd think. The first thing she ate was a ripe strawberry, and she managed to set all her dining etiquette aside for the simple fruit. I watched the juices drip down from her lips, to her chin, down her neck, and she laughed it off. A harmonious, heavenly laugh, a laugh that could warm the coldest of hearts.
She carefully broke off a piece of the loaf of bread, and exhaled in delight at the steam and warmth radiating from the insides. She then began spreading a thin layer of butter across the surface, followed by a spoonful of rhubarb jam. The butter melted into the jam, creating the perfect cross between tarte and sweet. I studied each of her mannerisms, each of her characteristics, and I-
"Why aren't you eating?" Aurora asked, between mouthfuls of bread.
I paused, and tried my best to fabricate a realistic excuse for my lack of interaction. "I'm not that hungry."
Fuck.
"You're not that hungry at a picnic?" She inquired, furrowing her eyebrows. She looked concerned, to say the least, and I cursed myself for failing at disguising my habits.
"Yeah, I ate at home. This picnic was more of an excuse to showcase my masterful culinary expertise." I joked off awkwardly, and she thankfully released a small laugh in reply.
"God, this sunlight is intense. Let me join you in the shade." She piped up, groaning at the direct sunlight in her face. She sat next to me, and I tensed up. There was hardly enough space in that little corner for both of us, and her soft thigh pressed against my clothed leg as she tried to avoid the grass.
I cleared my throat and tried my best to ignore the sensation, but her touch was killing me. "You seem familiar with this forest." I spoke up, initiating a conversation as a distraction. Her eyes widened and she nodded.
"Oh, I love coming here to read. I have this friend that comes around here, too." She explained, fidgeting with her fingers.
"Oh?" I hummed, interested in learning more.
"Yeah! He lives around here, I think, so we bump into each other occassionally." She added, running her hands through the grass.
This mysterious character sounded a lot like someone I knew, so I decided to press further. "What does he look like?"
She gave me a strange look. I realize I probably could've done a better job at asking my question more casually. "He looks a little like you, in the face and the body. He has dark hair, though, and It's the same kind of length as yours." She recalled slowly, and I felt my jaw clench.
As always, my suspicions were confirmed. That may sound vainglorious and conceited, but it was true. My brother wanted something with this girl, and I was going to show him up. I also felt protective over Aurora, in a way. Putting aside all the one-sided competitiveness I couldn't help but task myself with, I felt inclined to keep her all to myself. She was something of a mystery, something unique.
My next actions weren't entirely planned. I felt her begin to slip off of the picnic blanket, and I impulsively grabbed her legs and pulled her towards me. She gasped as she held on to my waist, and I leaned back. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." She quickly apologized, dusting me off. I chuckled softly, and my skin burned beneath my clothes as she attempted to wipe off the mess from the spilled food. For a moment, there was complete silence. Comforting, solacing silence.
In the moment of silence and heat, her eyes darted back and forth between my eyes and my lips, and I felt her soft sweet breaths fanning my face. In an act of passion, I gently grabbed her chin and pulled her face towards me. Her eyes were sultry and her lips were slightly parted. Her expression was hauntingly alluring, and I couldn't stop myself from crashing my lips against hers.
Our lips danced in a sensual rhythm, and she released a soft moan as she ran her hands over my chest. Her sounds drove me crazy, and I found myself caressing the soft flesh of her neck. It took everything in me to stop myself from pinning her down and sinking my teeth into her. After a while, we unglued our swollen mouths from each other, and a string of saliva separated between our lips.
She panted softly, regaining her breath, before wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. I ran a hand through my long hair and stood up. She tasted too sweet, too addictive. It was dangerous, and I couldn't get enough of her. "That was- something." I spoke, breaking the silence.
She cleared her throat and stood up too, her knees wobbling and her stance unstable. I could tell the act affected her, as well. "I-I had a lot of fun. I have to go make dinner for my family, now." She stammered, avoiding my gaze. I glanced at her one last time, before she grabbed her basket and made her way back to the cottage. I knew she was somewhat embarrassed, but she had no reason to be. Still, she needed time.·:*¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨*:·
