-Lauren's POV-
"It's okay." We replied, also in unison, and laughed.
"I'm Harry." He said, smiling revealing two dimples. One was slightly more noticeable than the other.
I realized that he was holding out his hand. "Oh, I'm Lauren." I quickly replied.
"Yeah, I could kind of tell from your name tag." He replied.
Cheeky, eh?
"Ha, well I've um, got to go work now." I walked away, going to clock-in, and putting on my apron. Something about this Harry guy felt so familiar.
I walk towards the back, and washed my hands. When I came back, Harry was there again, but he wasn't alone this time.
He was with a gorgeous red-head girl who also had dimples. I didn't think it was possible to be THAT gorgeous. They were in the middle of a kiss, and I felt very awkward.
I cleared my throat, and they both turned and looked at me, embarrassed.
"Sorry." Said the red-head girl.
"No problem." I replied. "Welcome to Starbucks. I'm-"
"Lauren." Harry stated, finishing my sentence.
Piper looked perplexed. "You two know each other?"
"We just met, actually. I accidently bumped into him on my way to work."
"Oh..." she replied. I don't think she liked the fact that he even interacted with me very much. I don't blame her though. This guy seems like a player. "I'm Piper," she added on. "Will you excuse for just a minute?" she asked smiling sweetly.
"Sure, take your time."
She began to whisper very loudly. "You know how I feel about you talking to really pretty girls, Harold.
I stifled a laugh. Harold? Then I realized that she thought I was pretty, which was pretty astonishing to me, because no one has really called me pretty except for my Dan, Niall, and my mom.
"There is nothing between us, Pipe. I JUST met her." He replied, sounding as if he's been through this more than once.
"Really, because it seems like-"
I felt the need to cut her off, and tell her nothing was going on. "Umm...Piper? Nothing is, was, or will ever happen between Harry and I. We just bumped into each other, that's all. Besides, I've got a boyfriend." I said.
"Oh really?" she smiled. "What's his name?"
She seemed genuinely interested, and there weren't any customers, so I thought I'd tell her. "Niall." Niall. Just his name, makes me smile.
"That name sounds so familiar, doesn't it Harry?"
"Yeah, I thought she looked oddly familiar. The name Niall also rings a bell."
"Mind if we see a picture?" asked Piper.
I pulled out my phone, and showed them a picture of Niall.
"I know him!" exclaimed Harry.
"You were at the X Factor auditions the other day!" yelled Piper.
I laughed and nodded. They looked and sounded as if they've just answered the 'million dollar question'.
"I had a quick chat with him during registration." said Harry. "He's a nice guy."
"He's really cute!" Piper blurted out.
Harry and I just looked at her.
"And you think I'm the one who would cheat?" he scoffed.
"I was just- I mean, I w-"she looked at me pleading.
"It's okay Piper, really." I smiled. "Doesn't hurt if it's the truth, right?" I laughed nervously because Harry looked like his head was about to explode with anger.
He turned around, facing away from us.
"Will you talk to him for me?" she whispered.
"I'll try." I said.
I walked over to Harry, and put my hand on his shoulder.
"Come on Harry, loosen up."
"She just called another guy cute, but accuses me of cheating ealier."
"Well...it's just how girls are. Trust me, I should be mad, but I'm not. It's like calling Justin Bieber cute. That's all she meant."
He sighed. "I guess you're right."
I began to walk back over to Piper, when he pulled me back and said "So, if I told you that you were beyond beautiful, would that be compared to calling Selena Gomez, pretty?"
I just stood there, and gaped at him. "I have a boyfriend, pretty boy. You have a girlfriend, who's waiting for you." I slowly walked back to Piper, but I could still hear his chuckles in the background.
Piper and Harry stuck around, keeping me company while I tended to some customers.
I could feel Harry staring at me while I worked, and sometimes I actually caught him. He would wink at me, but I would just roll my eyes. There is no way on earth I am letting him ruin my relationship with Niall.
