Y/n's Pov:
As I slowly drifted out of my deep slumber, my senses were immediately bombarded with a pungent and familiar smell - cigarette smoke. I scrunched my nose and turned over, hoping to bury my face into my pillow to escape the stench. But to my dismay, the smell only seemed to intensify. I opened my groggy eyes and took in my surroundings. I was lying in my cozy bed, wrapped in my favorite blanket, in my dimly lit bedroom. My eyes traveled around the room, trying to find the source of the smoke. And that's when I saw him. Jake, my lover, was sitting on the edge of the bed, looking out of the window, with a cigarette dangling between his fingers. The burning end of the cigarette glowed in the darkness, casting an eerie light that danced across his face. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, trying to get rid of the sleep-induced haze. 'Jake,' I muttered, my voice still scratchy from sleep. He turned to look at me, a guilty expression on his face as he quickly stubbed out the cigarette in the ashtray on the nightstand. 'Sorry, y/n. I didn't mean to wake you up,' he said. As I looked at him, his disheveled hair and his tired eyes, I couldn't bring myself to scold him. Instead, I let out a deep sigh and gestured for him to come back to bed. He climbed in next to me, wrapping his arms around me as I rested my head on his chest. The faint smell of smoke still lingered in the air, but at that moment, it didn't matter. All that mattered was the feel of Jake's arms around me and the sound of his steady heartbeat.

"I was wondering if you wanted to join Johnnie and I later today? We're going to go shopping and maybe go get him guitar tuned." I asked quietly.

"Hmm, I think I'll pass. I mean, you and Johnnie haven't hung out together since you got here." Jake mumbled as he dozed off here and there. I could only nod before I heard Jake snore.

As I stood in front of my mirror, getting ready to head out for the day, I couldn't help but steal a glance back at my bed. And as expected, there he was. Jake, still fast asleep with his messy dark hair sticking up in all directions. My heart couldn't help but flutter at the sight of him. The way his chest rose and fell with each steady breath, and the way his lips were slightly parted, made him look so peaceful and vulnerable. I couldn't believe how lucky I was to have him lying here in my bed. It was moments like these that made me realize just how much I loved him. I couldn't imagine my life without him. Every time I looked at him, my heart would tingle with happiness, and my mind would be flooded with memories of all the amazing times we've shared together. I couldn't help but smile as I remembered our first interaction and the way he always made me laugh with his silly jokes.
I grabbed my purse before climbing next to him in bed.
"I'm leaving with Johnnie. I'll be back soon, but text or call us if you need something. Bye, bye, " I whispered before walking out the room to see Johnnie walk out the kitchen with a water bottle.
"Hey, y/n. Where's Jake?" Johnnie tilted his head as he looked at me.
"Uh, well, when you went to sleep, he decided to go out with Colby, and they both came back wasted." I sighed before walking out the door with Johnnie.
"What an idiot, I thought he would learn his lesson, but eh." Johnnie shrugged as he climbed in the passenger seat.

Johnnie's Pov:
I'm surprised Jake has gotten close with Y/n since she got here. It took him a while for me, but now we're like best friends, so I'm happy for him.
"Y/n, so what's up with you and Jake? Hm? It's like you've come here to see him, " I teased as I scrolled through my phone. Y/n gasped as she shook her head, "Not true! Johnnie, you need to quit sleeping in all day, so we can hang!"
Y/n laughed before smiling.
I forget what it felt like to be with y/n. She has always been a joy in my life, so I'm cherishing these moments.

Third Person Pov:
Y/n and Johnnie had been feeling restless all day, with nothing to do and nowhere to go. They decided to head over to the mall to kill some time and maybe even do a little bit of shopping. As they walked through the busy corridors of the mall, they couldn't help but admire the various stores and their enticing displays. Johnnie's eyes lit up when they passed by a jewelry store, and without hesitation, he dragged Y/n inside. Y/n watched as Johnnie tried on different silver rings and necklaces, finally settling on a sleek chain with a small pendant. Not wanting to feel left out, Y/n browsed through the t-shirts and found a couple of cool graphic tees to add to their wardrobe. After making their purchases, they continued their journey through the mall and eventually came upon Sephora. Y/n's excitement was palpable as they entered the beauty store, eager to check out the latest products. Meanwhile, Johnnie bought himself a new black eyeliner, his signature go-to look. After spending some time browsing and chatting with the helpful store employees, Y/n and Johnnie left with their bags full of goodies, feeling content and satisfied with their spontaneous trip to the mall.
"My pockets hurt..." Y/n mumbled as she put the bags in the trunk before Johnie laughed with her.

Y/n's Pov:
I sat inside my car as Johnnie went to go buy cigarettes for Jake. I leaned my head back against the headrest before my phone rang. Jake was calling me. He probably needed something.
"Hello? Did you need something?" I asked.
"I actually wanted to talk to you just to hear your voice." He mumbled, but it sounded like he just got out of bed. My cheeks flushed red as I tried not to scream my lungs out.
"You're a dork, Jake, but for real, do you need something?" I laugh at him, I don't think he's serious about that. He's always teased and made jokes, so this has to be another one.
"Haha, yeah. Can you get me a diet coke?"
"Sure. We'll be home soon." I hung up the phone before screaming, but poor Johnnie opened, staring at me.
"Um, what the hell happened?" He said as he tossed the bag towards me.
"Nothing. I'm just...I don't know."

Johnnie and I finally got back home, and once we stepped foot inside the house. We were hit with the smell of burnt food.
"Jake, what the hell!?" Johnnie called out as he walked into the kitchen to see Jake live streaming himself, making something that is now unidentifiable.
"Listen, it was an accident! It looked so good in the beginning." Jake laughed as he opened the window to air out the house. I walked in before laughing a bit before Jake smiled. He reached his arm around me and pulled me in the camera view.
"Chat, this is our friend, y/n! She's visiting, and she's awesome." Jake smiles before I handed him the diet coke.
"Thanks, y/n," he winked before making some vile jokes with Johnnie.

Jake's Pov:

Before I could head up to my room and call it a day, I had to make a quick stop. I walked up to y/n's door and gave a light knock, knowing that she was probably still busy with her own work. But to my surprise, she opened the door with a bright smile on her face. My heart fluttered at the sight of her, and I couldn't help but return the smile.

'Hey,' I said, stepping into her room.

'Hey yourself,' she replied, giving me a quick hug. 'How was filming?'

'It was great,' I said, unable to contain my excitement. 'I can't wait for you to see it.'

'I can't wait either,' she said before plopping down onto her bed. I put my hands in my pocket before swaying my body back and forth. I couldn't stop admiring her from where I was standing before I was interrupted from my thoughts.
"Are you going to sit down or what?" She asked before patting to an empty spot next to her. I didn't hesitate to move next to her.

Third Person Pov:
Jake and y/n had been talking for hours while sitting on the edge of the bed. They had lost track of time as they delved deep into conversations about their past, their dreams, and their fears. Each word they shared seemed to bring them closer together, building a strong connection between them.

But as the night grew deeper, Jake's eyes started to droop, and he let out a yawn. 'I think I should get some shut-eye,' he said, rubbing his eyes tiredly.

Y/n nodded, understanding that Jake needed rest. However, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of disappointment. She had been enjoying their conversation so much that she didn't want it to end.

Before Jake could make a move to leave, y/n leaned in and placed a soft kiss on his cheek. 'Stay with me,' she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper.

Jake's eyes widened in surprise, but he couldn't deny the warmth that spread through his body at her words. He had been wanting to spend more time with y/n, but he didn't want to impose.

But with her sweet kiss on his cheek and her plea for him to stay, Jake couldn't resist. He shifted back onto the bed and laid down, making himself comfortable next to y/n.
"Goodnight, y/n." Jake mumbled as quietly before falling asleep right next to Y/n, not knowing the 'war' he has started.
