Chapter 16

EDGE OF FOREST AT WHOMPING WILLOW - NIGHT
[Shadows emerge under a full moon: Black. Anna. Pettigrew. Lupin. Rose. Sleepwalking Snape... Anna studies herself and Sirius.]
Anna: You see Sirius talking to me? He's asking me to come live with him.
Rose: Really?[Anna nods, her voice wistful.]
Anna: When we free him, I'll never have to go back to the Dursley's. I'm going to tell him I'd like to live someplace in the country. I think he'd like that, after all those years in Azkaban. We don't need a big place and I can help him...
"It sounds beautiful." Said Sirius with smile.
[A howl pierces the night. Rose glances toward the Willow.]
Rose: It's happened. Professor moony's transformed.
"Aww. She calls you professor Moony." Said James.
Anna: Which means Pettigrew is slipping safely into the night. While we just stand here...  [A fierce growling is heard as twin silhouettes -- the dog and the werewolf -- bound into the tall grass. Anna watches herself appear, hurl the stick as before. The werewolf turns, begins to stalk...  OWWWWWWWWW! Anna wheels, sees Rose, hands cupped to her mouth, making a loud howl. She covers her mouth.]
Anna: What are you doing?
Rose: Saving your life.
"No, you are calling him to you!" Yeleld Remus and Barty at Rose at the same time. Everyone tenses up.
[Anna looks back to the tall grass. The werewolf is frozen. As before, it begins to approach Anna again. OWWWWWWWW! This time, Anna doesn't stop her.]
Anna: Thanks. But we have to move.
Rose: Why?
Anna: Because that werewolf you just called is running right this way. [They exchange a glance and... run.]
FOREST - NIGHT
[Anna and Rose dash for the lives, swing behind a huge tree. As camera begins to circle, the werewolf appears. Pauses.]
Everyone looks worried.
[As it approaches the tree, Anna and Rose silently sidestep in the opposite direction, until the werewolf... disappears. Camera continues to circle the tree... ]
Anna: Buckbeak. We've got to find him.
"Now isn't the time!  Scolded Remus.
[... and reveals the werewolf, fifteen feet past, waiting. As Rose and Anna step out, they freeze. The werewolf poises itself, preparing to pounce, when... SKREEEK! The trees shake with the fury of a hurricane and Buckbeak charges into the clearing, screening Anna snd Rose. The werewolf snarls angrily, makes to charge. With lightning-fast reflexes, Buckbeak's claws slash the air... only inches from the werewolf's face. The werewolf stops, eyes glittering with rage, then... howls. Turning, it vanishes into the forest.]
Everyone is relieved.
Rose: Poor Professor Moony is having a really tough night...
Remus smiled greatfull.
[Just then, a chill wind rises... The leaves of the trees treamble... Eerie shadows flutter over the moon, greasy as smoke... Dementors. ]
Anna: Let's go. [... a cyclone of dementors whirl madly above Anna and Black. Anna watches herself vainly attempt to conjure a Patronus as the cyclone only continues to grow... ]
Everyone is worried.
Rose: This is horrible...
Anna: I know. Right there... any minute... someone will conjure the Patronus. [The wind rises. The Lake begins to freeze. WHOOSH! WHOOSH! One after another, Dementors drop from the sky, vanish in the cyclone... ]
Rose: No one's coming, Anna... 
Anna: Patience! [Rose looks. Nothing. Desperately, her eyes flash to the        cyclone, to the pitiful sight of Anna and Black at the water's edge... wracked with pain... dying... ]
James and Remus grip Siriu's hands. Regulus looks at him with big worry.
Rose: No one's coming! You're dying, both of you... and no one's coming! [Anna's face changes. A riddle unravels. She draws her wand. Anna slashes through the trees, down to the rocky outcrop, to the exact spot where the figure appeared. Poising her wand, she looks out over the sea of        Dementors on the other side of the lake.]
Anna: Expecto patronum! [A wisp of silver escapes his wand, hovering like a mist, then blooms magificently.]
"It's so beautiful." Said Lily.
"She saved me." Smiled Sirius.
"We have the same Patronus." Cheered James.
[The trees explode with light. The Lake blazes with reflected fire. Anna stands utterly still, wand extended to the heavens. Across the lake, the Dementors retreat.]
"It's one hell of a patronus." Said impressed Barty.
[Anna waits, still as a statue, until each and every one is gone. Then she simply lets her arm drop.]
HOGWARTS - SKY - FLYING - NIGHT [WHOOSH! Anna and Rose plunge into frame astride Buckbeak, soaring toward the castle. Outside the grounds, the Dementors wait restlessly. Up ahead, Fudge and Snape enter the Dark Tower, torches in hand.]
Anna: It was... me. I saw myself conjuring the Patronus before. I knew I could do it this time, because... because I'd already done it. Does that make sense? [Rose contemplates this.]
"No." Said Lily.
Rose: Kinda
DARK TOWER - TERRACE - NIGHT 
[Sirius paces within a small cell, a man condemned. Spying Anna and Rose, he stops. Stunned to see them.]
"Awww. How cute. My goddaughter is breaking me out of jail." Said Sirius.
[Anna pushes past Rose.]
Anna: (raising her wand) Alohomora! [Sirius tests the iron door. Still locked.]
"Probably something more strong would be usefull." Said James.
Anna: Didn't really expect that to work.[Wands flashing, Anna and Rose tries spells after spells.] 
Rose: Dunamis! Liberare!
Anna: Annihilare! Emancipare! No. No. No. No.
Sirius Black: You might try --
Anna: Quiet! I'm trying to think.
Regulus chuckles at how she made Sirius shut up.
[She resumes pacing, muttering furiously. Then... stops. Turns.]
Anna: Bombrada! [KA-BOOM! The cell door rockets to the sky.]
"That'll do." Said Sirius.
Sirius Black: That'll do.
SKY/HOGWARTS - HELICOPTER SHOT - NIGHT     
[We see Buckbeak spirit Anna, Rose and Sirius off the terrace and soar directly toward us... Just as Snape and Fudge reach the top of the Tower.]
BUCKBEAK - FLYING - NIGHT (MOMENTS LATER)
[Sirius laughs, hair blowing in the wind.]
Sirius Black: You truly are your father's daughter, Anna! And luckily, you have your mother's brain!
"Hey!" Said offended James.
