As You made your way home, the late night city around her began to calm down. The bustling streets were now quieter, and the buildings were slowly being obscured by the darkness. When she arrived at her apartment, the familiar face of her friend Cory greeted her. She was always one to show her emotions through her physical presence and gestures, and as always You was drawn in by the comfort She gave you. They would spend time together laughing and talking about their day, with Cory asking You all about her new ideas and experiences.

CORY: "Ayyeeee what's up?

YOU: " Hey."  You nodded in response to your low and soft voice, You glanced over at Cory and her grin as you took off your cold jacket and tossed it on the chair behind you near the kitchen table. As you went to the sink to wash your hands, Cory continued speaking

CORY: "Aye your slow ass ain't get murdered, good job"

YOU:  "Man shut up it was a walk home"

CORY: "Yeah your spooky ass wanna be out at night, Won't be pretty when you get snatched the hell up"

YOU: " You gonna stop talking shit and just say you missed me or am I goin to bed? "

Cory chuckled as she walked over giving you a side hug, You followed with a small chuckle and a equally warm smile as you hugged her back. She quickly let go though as she walked to the microwave and your curiosity peaked, Your eyebrow raised along with it as you spoke up:

YOU: " Hey what you got over there? "

CORY: " Your dinner, you look hungry as hell soon as you walked in"

Your heart fluttered along with a small smile that gradually got bigger as you clasped your hands together rubbing them over like some menace with a big grin.

YOU: " Damn you finna make me come over there and kiss you, Always got my back! "

You exclaimed as Cory rolled her eyes with a sigh

CORY: "Yeah don't touch me with them dry ass lips, You welcome though yeah I got you."

She nodded with a small smile as she heard the beeping of the microwave go off, Going over there to open it as you sat down and started talking about your day at work Recalling what happened but, Your mood slowly grew annoyed as you kept going over the things that happened as you use hand gestures and multiple voices to Express it all

YOU: And this girl go like "I can't pay for that uh!- " To the cashier while I'm sweepin! That girl had no business being all loud like that to The young one behind the counter poor thing.

You mermerd as your eyes softened remembering the exact anxiety of the teen behind the counter you worked with Lillah She just got the job and you were impressed by how quick she knew math and her money. but the anxiety she had was killing her, The stammering and slight fear in her eyes made you hold a slight grudge at the costumers that had an attitude. Not much you can do about it though but hope for the best, That she don't snap. But it's over now

CORY: "Damn, poor little lady, She be aight though am I right?

She'd place the dinner for you on the table and a cold bottle of water as you thanked her and said your prayers before chowing down, You made a satisfied sound as you pricked the food with your fork looking up at her

YOU: "Damn this is bomb, Better than the frozen burritos at the job. "

CORY: " It ain't all that, But thanks anyway you look like a savage I can tell them burritos Garbage. "

She chuckled before walking away, Grabbing her phone

CORY:" Yo imma see you later, finna head to bed
