Stop playing games
And share your views
Speak out loud and let them hear your voice
Lift your face up high and look at them in the eye
Tell them what you feel
Let them see who you are, what they made you to be
Erase the gleam in your eyes and let them see the pain that eats you up every night
The pain they caused when they shunned that idea you had without listening to it
That time they said you can't do anything great
The moment they laughed in your face claiming it was a joke
Move on from those nights you cried yourself to sleep
Nights when horrific memories disturbed your sleep in the form of nightmares
Let them go
Let the pain fly away as the sun sets
Begin a new day
Breath in the fresh morning air
And welcome a new beginning as the sun rises
