Chapter 18: The Reunion

Third person's POV

At the same time as the yellow fish were just swimming through the ship with Kiri just following after the glowing yellow fish to find her adopted mother and her sisters, Tuk who had spotted the glowing yellow fish that was just coming towards herself, her adopted mother and Siobhan had just gasped in awe at the sight of seeing the sight of the beautiful show of the lights underneath the cold water and Tuk just knew that this was a sign that was coming from something that was just coming towards them and she just takes in a deep breath of some air before she was just ducking under the surface of the water and she just sees that Kiri was just coming around the corner of where they were stuck right now before Kiri had noticed the little girl staring over at her in a very happy way as the teenager had grabbed onto the side of the ship and she just grins brightly at the sight of finding her adopted mother and her sisters before Tuk had reached out with one of her hands towards her older sister as Kiri just swims up to where Tuk was treading in the water with her adopted mother and her oldest sister. "Hi" Kiri had breathed out-loud to everyone else with a warm grin on her face when she had appeared above the water before Neytiri's ears had flatten against her head with her relief instantly washing over herself as Kiri had found her and Siobhan and Tuk as she said to Kiri "Kiri!" "Everything's going to be alright, little sister" Kiri said to her youngest sister in a reassuring tone before she had looked over at her adopted mother and she said to her adopted mother "Mum, I'm gonna give this to you" Kiri then just unhooked the jellyfish creature from her back as she just gently passes it over to her mother and she just placed it onto Neytiri's back as she said to her mother "It will help you" Siobhan then just noticed her adopted mother's hesitant look on her face before Siobhan said to her adopted mother "Trust me, calm your heart, deep breathes" The other three people had listened to Siobhan's instructions as they just all took in some deep breathes and they were just calming down their fast beating hearts and once Kiri knew that they were all ready to go, she just grabbed onto one of Tuk's hands and she said to her adopted mother and to Siobhan "Follow me" Kiri's head then just went underneath the water before Tuk, Siobhan and Neytiri just followed after her and the small group were just swimming through the ship before eventually Kiri was just holding onto Tuk to support her while she was just swimming through the ship and Neytiri and Siobhan were just swimming through the ship behind Kiri and Tuk as the small group were just swimming at a steady pace throughout the bottom of the flipped over ship while the glowing yellow fish were just guiding the small group out of the ship and when they had gotten over to the last corner, Kiri had gently pushed Tuk forward and she just turned back around to make sure that Siobhan and Neytiri were still following after her.

The school of the fish had flocked out everywhere from outside of the ship and they were just glimmering and they were just shining just like a thousand stars in the night sky against the clear blue water, the four people underneath the water had swam up all the way to the surface and they had broken the surface of the water with some released breathes as they had gasped out loud and they had looked around for everyone else through the fierce fire that was just surrounding them. "Ma Jake!" Neytiri had called out to him as she had spotted the rest of her family as Jake and Lo'ak were just resting on Payakan in the water and the four people had swam across to Jake and Lo'ak before Kiri had helped Tuk with getting onto Payakan's fin and Jake just grabbed onto Neytiri's outstretched hand as he had pulled her onto the creature's fin and Lo'ak was just shocked at the sight of seeing his oldest sister being alive before he just pulled her onto Payakan's fin and he just pulled her to keep her in-between their father and himself before the pair just looked at each other and Lo'ak just hugged her as he couldn't believe that she was alive now before Siobhan just gently hugged him back as the rest of the family was just comforting each other before Siobhan and Lo'ak had let go of each other and Jake and Neytiri just held their children close in a circle on Payakan as they were just being thankful that everyone had made it through this horrid war. Up in the sky and above their heads, the eclipse was gone which meant that a new day had began before Jake said to everyone else "Alright, we need to get back" Jake's eyes had scanned over the rest of his family before his eyes had landed onto his oldest daughter who had looked like that she had realised something before she said to her father "Dad, I-I can't feel my mating bond with Aonung, he's dead, he has to be dead because why else can't I feel it anymore?" Jake and Neytiri then just looked at each other with similar looks on their faces before Jake said to Siobhan "I don't know, Siobhan, I don't know on why you can't feel it anymore, I'm sorry" "If he's dead, then why would Eywa bring me back to life?, just to torture me?" Siobhan asked her father with her tears that were just spilling out of her eyes since she had thought that Aonung was dead before Lo'ak just hugged her and he said to Payakan "Okay buddy, let's go back to the rock" Payakan then just makes a noise of acknowledgement as he just went carefully to make his way through the water and towards the rock while Siobhan was thinking that Aonung was dead and how much she had wished that she had the opportunity to say her proper goodbyes to him, how much she had wished that she had gotten to spend another night in Aonung's arms and how much she had wanted to see him breathing and alive right in front of herself.
