Zack locks the door and Amy sits on the bed beside Max. She holds his hand, and she smiles at him. 

(A) Chad is my husband. My parents got remarried and I got a new stepbrother. He tried to do the same thing to me that Caine did to you. Chad was his first cousin. Chad caught him and stopped it. He beat the crap out his cousin. Our parents were angry. They accused me of being a whore and I left that night. They begged me to stay, and they tried to apologize. I did not give them any power. What I did was forgave them. I forgave my stepbrother too. So, you just forgive Caine in your heart and let him go. I have not spoken with my parents in over ten years. I left that night with Chad. We started talking and the next thing you know we were a couple. We got married and we are happy. 

(M) I can tell yall love each other. 

(A) How can you tell that?

(M) I have seen yall come over on game night. Everyone was supposed to be asleep. I would peek over the staircase. He is a very handsome man. 

(A) I will tell him you said that. Why did Caine do this to you?

(M) I am a faggot. 

(A) You are gay baby. Please do not refer to yourself as that name. 

(M) Sorry.

(A) He thought because you liked boys, he could do that?

(M) Yeah. 

(A) Zack is going to fix that situation. 

(M) I know, I have five amazing brothers. They will take care of me. They have been amazing. Zack can Amy and I talk alone for a minute?

(Z) I will be right outside. 

Zack opens the door and steps out. Amy looks at Max. 

(M) Can I show you something else? I am hurting somewhere else. 

(A) Yes, my love. Show me where you are hurting. 

(M) I need to fix the towel. 

Amy helps him sit up and cover his lap with the towel. He slides his shirt up and she sees the bruised and swollen ribs and chest area. She checks his back and sees bruises as well. 

(A) What happened? 

(M) A boy beats me up at school. Caine tells him too. I have not told Zack yet. The boy shoved me down the stairs. That is why we needed the stronger medicine. I can't bend. It hurts to reach down and pull my member out to pee. Someone has to help me. 

(A) I am sorry. Let me grab these boxers. I am going to slide them on. I see a t-shirt and shorts. Are those yours? 

(M) Yes. 

Amy grabs the clothes. She looks at Max and smiles. 

(A) I am going to help you to my car. I am going to test you for a lot of stuff. Caine sleeps around I want to make sure you are safe. I am going to move the towel and slide your boxers on. I know it's embarrassing. I will have to see a lot of you today to check on you. Is that ok? 

(M) Yeah, I trust you. 

(A) Ok. 

Amy slides the towel off. She slides the boxers on and then the shorts. She helps him the slide the shirt on. She grabs some socks and slides them on. She opens the door and lets Zack come in. He will be back in the conversation. 

(A) The clinic is closed today. I am going to get you to carry Max to my car. I am going to take him to the clinic. I will do some tests and some x-rays. I will call medicine in. The pharmacy does not close till nine. I will make it a rush. It is only twelve eleven. When I am almost done, I will call you and have you pick Max up.
