Ivy Soto just wanted to have a decently normal demigod life. She's had enough of people giving her wary looks just because of her godly parent. It's not like she asked to be claimed by Hera, and she certainly didn't ask to be hated by Zeus himself. So when a new kid named Percy Jackson rolls around, she's nice to him, because lord knows the boy needs someone to be nice to him. But just being friendly to the new kid gets her sent a quest she never wanted to be associated with much less be apart of.
