Two days after the Holocron Heist launched by Cad Bane....
"What's got you all down and about?" Tybalt, the young mechanic asked Jado as he repaired the rocket jets in his boots.
Jado sighed and spun around in his chair. "Nothing, big kid stuff." His thoughts still lingered on Liyah, how she blew up at him for being involved with Cad Bane. Although he had no idea that Cad Bane wanted to steal a Holocron from the Jedi, he was involved with him at one point.
Her words ran through is head, over and over:You're a lowlife bounty hunter! Just like Cad Bane, I don't want to hear anymore of your lies!
"It's always 'big kid stuff'." Tybalt frowned. "I should consider myself a big kid, I'm always fixing things for you, kinda like I'm your dad." He giggled.
"Okay kid." He rolled closer to him in chair. "I'll give you some advice."
"What is it?"
"Don't don't fall for anyone. It's not worth it." He spun back around.
Tybalt tilted his head, not knowing what Jado was talking about. "Falling? Why would anyone need to fall for anyone?"
Jado chuckled. "Don't worry about it." He grabbed his bowl of outpost mix, he brought from Batuu. "When you're older I'll tell you about how bitter love is."
"Oh!" Tybalt came to the realization. "You like somebody?"
Jado turned back around, wondering if he should answer this question or not. Did he like Liyah? Yeah, he definitely did but he can't lie to himself, but he can lie to others.
"No, not really."
"You're lying!" Tybalt pointed at him, laughing. "You have a girlfriend!"
"No, it's not like that!" Jado threw a piece of grain at him. "She doesn't like me anyway." He sulked.
"Why not? You have a ship, droid-"
"Watch it kid. No one owns me." BeeBee chimed in.
"Sorry BeeBee. Besides there's a lot of girls here that like you I'm sure."
"Nah...not the same." He began playing with the necklace Liyah wanted him to hold onto for her.
"It's her's isn't it!" Tybalt looked at the necklace. "Did she give it to you?"
"Kinda, I'm supposed to give it back...when we meet again some day." He sighed, "I don't think that'll happen."
"What'd you do to get her mad at you?"
"Circumstance," he looked down, he needed to vent. "Okay, me being a bounty hunter. She doesn't like them, and I became one."
"Maybe she'll understand one day..." Tybalt said faithfully. "And maybe she'll come for the necklace." He tightened the rocket jet into the boot.
"She won't." He frowned, "She hates me and thinks I'm a liar."
"You're probably exaggerating..."
"No kid, she hates him." BeeBee snarked. "Their relationship is dead and buried." Jado threw a piece of grain at the droid, who didn't even notice.
"She'll come back." Jado smiled. "If not you'll find her."
"I hope that's true." He handed Tybalt the rest of the outpost mix. "I really do."
