Rick's POV I have no idea what's going on but whatever it is, it's hurting Lex and I hate to see her in pain or sad. I went into her room with her favorite Sundae and she was in there just crying. I quickly put the tray on her desk and went over to her. I sat on the floor and said " Lex, the only way I can help, is if I know what's going on." She was still crying and after a few long minutes of sitting their in silence she finally said " it's so embarrassing dad." When she said that I was even more confused than I was before so I just said "what is?" She replied " I got my period today and I was not prepared at all. I knew I would get it eventually but I figured mom would be here or something, I just don't know and it hurts that she's not here for the big moments like this as well as the fact that I'm physically in pain." I jumped up "oh my god ! You got your period! Crap, crap, crap, you're only 12." I was freaking out even more than my daughter was and she was the one in pain. I can't believe that my little girl is growing up so fast. I then said " okay, okay, I got this, you stay here while I run to the store and get some pads, heating wrap, pain killers and your favorite snacks." She looked up at me and smiled and said "thanks dad" to which I replied "in the mean while I'm going to call my mom because I am literally the worst person when it comes to these stuff." I ran to my car, called my mom and explained everything and she said she would be on her way." I drove to the store and got everything I came to get, plus whatever my mom told me to add to the list. I was so caught up with Alexis that I didn't notice it was 1 minute to 7. When I got back home, mother was there waiting on me. I brought all the supplies Lex needed and mother helped with the other stuff in the bathroom. I ended up making her one of those fancy ramen for her and mother to eat. We all sat and watched a little tv before Lex fell asleep. I carried Lex to her room and gave her a kiss on her cheek. I went in the kitchen where I knew mother was having a glass of wine. She said "how are you feeling, we all just had a big moment." I laughed and said " I was even more freaked out than she was." It was now 15 minutes to 8pm and I said shit. Mother then asked "what's wrong Richard?" Then I replied " Unfortunately, Lexie set me up on a blind date that's supposed to start in 15 minutes but I was so caught up with Lex that I completely forgot." Mother laughed and said " you better get ready and run." With that being said, I literally ran to shower and started getting ready.
Kate's POV I was freaking out about this date. I didn't even know what to wear. Should I go in for the kill and look really sexy for our first, maybe last date? Or should I do casual. I wasted hours trying to figure out what to wear once I got home. It was now 6:30pm, so I took a shower and I decided to go with something casual. It may or may not have been something that I would wear to work but I wanted to see if this date was even worth it before I pulled out all the stops. It was about 7:15pm so I decided to start heading out. I ended up wearing jeans, white shirt, and my leather jacket. When I got there it was about 7:50pm. I asked for Rick Rodger's table and I was seated. I was hoping I would arrive before him and I did. I was nervous but I know Lanie wouldn't put me in a situation I would absolutely hate. When it was 8pm he still wasn't here. I sat there and waited for 30 minutes and he's still a no show. I mean who the hell stands up a blind date? If he wasn't going to make it, he could have said something. I got up and started to leave.
