Matteo's pov

I woke up to my alarm ringing my ear off . So fucking annoying

I groaned getting up from bed and headed to bathroom

After 15 mins

I wore  Armani black suit with black shoes.

I headed downstairs to dining table and sat down 

"Good morning Mr. Gonzalez" Annalise said behind the kitchen island 

"Morning Annalise. stop calling me Mr. Gonzalez, we're family " I said

"I just can't help myself but to call you that" She said bringing plates to the table

"Well you're older so don't bother Anna" I said picking for and knife

"Where's Xavier ?" I asked looking around

"He's getting ready." She answered 

"Well we have visitors . two of them " I said 

"Can you reach out for his nanny ? I don't want Xavier near anything related to work"

"Yes I have got it" She said nodding and left

After few mins Xavier came down 

"'Morning papa" He said sitting down 

"Good morning, How was your sleep?" 

"It was okay papa" He mumbled 

I looked at him I can't believe he's 8 

Like you just blink and open  see them all grown up 

I noticed how brown his eyes and his brown hair mixed with bit of blonde

Inherited from his mom of course 

I just don't know what happened to our family 

Like 6 years ago

Lauren told me she was pregnant and I was the happiest man to know I was going to be a dad 

We met at college I was 20 and she was 19

We became friends but I liked her so I took the courage and asked her out she said yes

Soon we started dating  and a year after we got Xavier 

It was hard raising a kid while taking college  but we've managed  and got married

Till I finished college and became distant to work with my dad and take his position 

I knew it will take alot sacrifices not spending with my wife and my son

"Papa?" 

"Hmm?" I brushed off my thoughts and looked at my son

"Are you okay? I called you 3 times" He titled his head to the side

"Yes I'm okay buddy , what did you want?" I smiled
