can't catch me now

meeting the mentors

Amara's Pov

"Amara!"  I hear Terrance yelled, I turned around and looked at terrrance, I sighed then looked at mizzen

"well I got to go, Terrance is calling me."  I said

"yeah I got to go too coral might be calling me too." mizzen said

"maybe we'll talk more later?" I asked

mizzen let out a slight chuckle "yeah we'll see." he smiled mento 

we stare at each other, mizzen reach out a hand and moved some of my strands of my hair out of my face , I simply blushed bright red at his actoin but smiled

"bye." I said quietly

I walked away still flustered, and walked back to terrance , I glance at mizzen who was talking to coral, Terrance clear his throat, making me looked at him

Terrance smirked knowingly, I huffed and roll my eyes "shut up, don't start." I told him

he raised his hands in mock surrder with a 'innocent' smile "I didn't say anything." he said then I sigh

"anyway ready to meet our mentors?" Terrance said

"they're here?" I asked

"yeah so everyone else's"  he said

we walked over and saw boy with red hair and blue eyes, and girl with red hair and violet eyes, outside the cage.

"hello there, I'm jack woods I'm your mentor."  the boy with red hair said to me

"and I'm willow woods his sister, I'm your mentor." she said to terrance

"here you go." my mentor giving me a sandwich, cookie and a water

"thank you." I said politely with a smlie, taking them

willow did the same gave terrance the food, terrance narrow his eyes at the girl but gratefully took them

I took a bite of my sandwich and took two sips of my water,

"your dress is pretty." I hear a voice say, I turn around and saw young girl who was so little was smling.

"thank you, this was my older sister's dress." I said with gentle smile

"I'm Amara, what's your name?"  I said.

"wovey." she said

"well It's nice to meet you, wovey." I said

Terrance's pov

I watch amara talking to someone from distict 10, I smiled at that, then I took a bite of my sandwich.

It's nice to see Amara making friends.

I looked at the someone that amara was talking to, she seem younger and so little.

poor little one.

she's reminds me of my little sister.

I saw a girl from disicrt 12, I I learn that her name was lucy grey, she was talking to Coriolanus snow who is her mentor.

she seem nice. and quite beautiful

wait did I just think that?

lucy grey looked back at me, I was flustered and looked away, I can't bealive I didn't know I was staring at her.

stupid me.

I hear coughing, to see dill with reaper, he really never let's dill out of his sight. he must be really protective of her.

can't say I blame him, I'm like that with amara,

I would tell her to stick by me.

Amara's Pov

when I was finish talking to wovey,  I watched her walked back to her district partner bobbin, I was walking around, I alreay finsh my sandwich, I gave the half of mine to wovey.

I still have my water, I hear coughing I turned and saw dill with reaper, dill was coughing, I walked towards dill, she looked up at me

I gave her a kind smile, and gave her my water,

dill starts to protest. "but-"

"you need this more then I do." I said kindly

dill looked at the water bottle in my hand then took it, 

"thank you." reaper said with nod

I looked at him and smlied and nodded, I walked away, I saw the girl from district 12, I think her name is lucy grey,

she looked at me gave me a smlie, I smiled and waved, she waved back, I turned and saw mizzen with his mentor.  he looked back at me, and both of us  made eye contact, we stare at each other.

there's somthing about mizzen.

whenever I'm near him, whenever we make eye contact, I feel somthing flutter and I blushed everytime he looks at me, and my heart starts beating.

what is this feeling inside of me, what am I feeling? 

what's mizzen doing to me?

a scream makes me snap out of my thoughts I turned and saw brandy grabbed her mentor by the collar, I was about to intervene, but I felt a hand grabbed mine and pulled me back, I turn and saw mizzen.

I could tell he didn't want me to intervene beacuase he didn't want me to get hurt

then brandy took the bottle from her mentor and stabbed her with it, my eyes widened in horror and fear, I covered my mouth in shocked. mizzen eyes also widened

I saw corolanaus tired to help the girl, he called out for help, the peacemaker started shooting, we all got down, mizzen and I were hiding behind a rock, he warpped his arms around me and pulled me closed, my face was buried in mizzen's chest,

I was shaking in fear, I didn't know what to do.

once the shooting was over I pulled away from mizzen chest,  I peek over the rock,I gasped in horror and the two dead bodies, I whimper in fear.

mizzen pulled me down "don't look." he said

tears started to form in my eyes, mizzen seems to notice "hey, hey it's ok." mizzen said rubbing my back, I shook my head

mizzen frown sadly at me, A sob escape my lips, mizzen wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged and I cried in his chest. 

I felt mizzen rubbed circles on my back "it's ok, Amara, I'm here," he said

I continued to cried in his chest, mizzen started to whisper sweet nothings in my ear and and run his hand through my hair, and he continued to comfort me.
