Jake stood dejectedly in front of his closet with hands on his hips, frustrated that he could not find a good outfit for his date, the same on that he had asked Taehyun to set up for him.

He didn't wanted to show it, but he was scared. He hadn't been on a date for almost half of his life. Well, he thought he didn't needed to because the younger Jake thought that he would get together with the darlings of his life, Sunghoon and Heeseung.

The adult Jake is snickering at him right now.

He definitely thinks that he should move on at this point, it's been more than five years since was in love with them. How long was he going to be stuck up on them? Even he wanted to have a lover of his own.

It honestly hurt. Watching the two people be heavily in love with each other, acting as if their friend wasn't just right in front of them. It hurt watching them planning their future together, without Jake. It hurt watching them act as if Jake was their couple therapist, going to him for the smallest problems that occurred in their relationship.

The thing that hurt him the most was that Jake would always be in service for the two. Even if it meant keeping his feelings aside.

To the point that Jake thought that he would also had to help them prepare the couple's proposal and wedding if they ever had one.

He would have to be the best man, instead of being one of the grooms.

Jake took in a sharp, cold breath before looking back to his closet to pick up something up, hurriedly since he figure out that he only had an hour for his date to arrive.

After a few moments, he picked out a dark green sweater with black pants, paired with white sneakers. He also picked out a necklace, which he had purchased with the couple three years ago. He had still kept it as if it was a precious thing to him. Which it was.

(He also wonders that if Heeseung and Sunghoon still have it or not as he hasn't seen them wearing it since the two started dating.)

He fumbled with his hair, letting it drop freely over on his eyes. He also sprayed a bit of his favorite perfume.

He made a lot of heartbreaking memories with this perfume clinging onto his wrists and clothes. It's time to let go and make good new ones.

He grabbed his wallet, phone and keys and went out to the living room. There he saw the couple cuddling on the couch while watching a dramatic rom com-from the early two-thousands.

Heeseung and Sunghoon then noticed Jake standing near the door, typing something out on his phone. They would not disagree on the fact that Jake did look damn amazing like that.

The couple looked at each other as if they knew what the other was thinking.

"Jakey?" Sunghoon called out, and the mentioned male tried not to show the guilt on his face.

It felt like he was betraying them by going on a date after years of having a crush on them, even when he knew it was a right choice.

Jake hummed, glancing at Sunghoon and then back to his phone.

"Where are you going?" Heeseung questioned him, eyeing Jake up and down but the younger didn't notice it.
