Accidental Confession..?

A few minutes earlier. . .
Jake's POV.

I couldn't believe it.

Drew was on stage...

Singing?!?!

It was all too unbelievable.

Drew was the fourth member of Max's band?!

It seemed impossible....

But how could I deny it?

He was right there on the screen, singing alongside the other 3.

I immediately jumped out of my seat, not believing my eyes.

"Hey, isn't that—" Sean started

"—Drew?!" I shouted in surprise, cutting him off.

"No way.." Milly murmured, for once in a quiet tone.

"Is that...really..." Haileys words trailed off.

"Oh God..." Luke murmured.

"Holy shit I was right..." I heard Zander mumble.

Everyone turned to him.

"What do you mean, 'you were right'?" Luke asked.

Zander paused, realizing all eyes were on him.

"Uh...."

"There's something I guess I should tell you guys..." Zander said finally.

And with that, he told us the entire story of what happened during the week.

He told us about the song book, and how he went to put it in his locker, and everything after that.

All of us were stunned.

But...Nobody more than me.

I was so stunned, I stopped paying attention to Zanders explanation just to look at the screen.

I couldn't take my eyes off of Drew.

How he sung so effortlessly...

How beautiful his voice was...

How he seemed so perfect up on stage...

How the pink lighting reflected off of his hair and eyes making them gleam so beautifully...

How his curls bounced as he moved across the stage...

How he interacted with the others...

How he barely broke a sweat the entire time...

How natural he looked singing on stage...

I noticed every detail.

So many questions flooded my brain, but one in particular that I just couldn't shake away..

Why didn't he tell me...?

After Drew's song ended and they walked off stage, I stood frozen in front of the screen.

I finally snapped back into reality when I felt someone tap me on the shoulder.

"Jake..?" I heard Hailey call out softly.

"I...I don't know what just happened...Drew was really...He was...On stage...Singing...Is this real..?" I asked breathlessly.
