'Twist'
—▲▼—Mabel knew about the Magnus case; she'd listened to a podcast at the time when the trial had started.
Anna Magnus was convicted of murdering her husband. Mabel remembered that the woman had been the police's third suspect as, when the police found the married couple, Anna had also been stabbed. However, once experts ruled her wounds to be self-inflicted, she quickly took first place on the suspects list.
'Yesterday the police found our parents, Anna and Daniel Magnus, stabbed down in the woods,' Mabel watched as the younger Callum began the interview, tears in his and his sister's eyes, the girl only being around 12 years old at the time. 'Our mam is in a stable condition but our dad-' the statement was cut off with Callum's crying, the siblings embracing each other as a police officer stepped in.
'Sadly, Daniel Magnus did not survive the attack. So we turn to the community and ask you for help. Anything you think may help, please come down to the station or call at this number,' the police woman inquired as a number popped up on screen.
That was the first of the interviews. Mabel always wondered why they did this one so soon because obviously Callum's and his sister's world had just crumbled in front of them.
The woman closed down the YouTube tab and stared blankly at the laptop. Mabel felt awful at betraying Callum's trust, she regretted every moment of it. She debated on telling him Oliver's plan on the way to the bar but she didn't, which made her feel even more guilty.
Her eyes floated to the video she had recorded of herself talking about Tim. Immediately, an idea formulated in her head but first she was going to need to head to a cafe.

Callum awoke with Marcus next to him, looking at him.
"What are you looking at?" Callum asked, still groggy but with a small smile.
"The most beautiful man in the world," Marcus replied with a smirk as Callum groaned at the cheesy response.
"Stop it," Callum said, playfully slapping the man as he sat up in bed. "Oh, it's already 11?" The Brit informed, surprised at the time on his phone,
"Wait what?" Marcus asked in a panic, checking his own phone. "Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t," the man exclaimed, jumping out of bed, picking his clothes off the floor and began getting dressed.
"Oh yeah, you've got work," Callum remembered Marcus telling him that fact. "You think you can make it?"
"Probably not so I'll get a lecture from Cinda," Marcus sighed at the thought.
"Maybe we should have done this on the weekend," Callum reasoned, raking a hand through his messy hair.
"We still can," Marcus suggested with a smile which resulted with a pillow being thrown in his direction, causing him to almost loose balance.
The Brit was about to respond but there was a sudden knock on his door. "One second!" He called out, quickly picking up his jumper and trousers from the floor and sliding them on.
Callum opened the door to be met with Mabel. "Please don't close the door," the woman pleaded. "I have something to tell you that I haven't told Charles and Oliver... and I bring a peace offering," she informed, holding her laptop and a small box in her arms.
"Alright," he invited her in as she passed him the box. A smile rose on his face when he saw his favourite dessert. "What is it?" Callum turned to Mabel, prompting her to tell him what she had to say.
