'We Got It?'
—▲▼—The podcasters returned to their group of plus-ones and fans, Mabel and Callum still unhappy at the decision of their debate.
Callum checked in on Marcus, giving him and 'you good?' look as he was about to sit down next to the man. Marcus nodded but patted the floor in front of him, suggesting that the Brit should sit there.
Callum smiled and sat between the man's legs, leaning his back against Marcus' chest. Arms wrapped around the Brit's waist and Sam began to present his idea.
"Tim Kono lives on the ninth floor but on that night, he got on the elevator with a trash bag from floor six. Why?" Sam explained causing the fans to turn in the four podcaster's direction.
"How did we miss that?" Charles asked, looking around his friends.
"Maybe because we're not detectives?" Callum suggested unhelpful as Oliver leaned forward, interested by what Sam had suggested.
"Floor six is Teddy's floor," the theatre guy connected.
"Cool but was it Tim's garbage or was it Teddy's?" Paulette asked.
"It's a good question," Mabel commented as she tried to figure it out in her head.
"And...did Teddy write those notes?" Oliver added. "Okay, as I said to Paula Abdul during our production of Hedda Gabler," Callum groaned as Oliver began one of his stories, "we gotta start thinking outside the box here."
"Guys, I know we all like the Dimas stuff but what about the mother in jail?" Jan interrupted, flicking through Charles' file.
"What mother?" Mabel questioned with a look of confusion plaguing her face.
"Oh," Callum sounded, raising his hand. "Jan that was me," he informed the older woman. As he looked around the room, the fans and Marcus wore confused expressions.
"We cut most of your stuff out the episode, we felt really bad for the whole thing," Charles explained causing the Brit to smile at the trio in appreciation.
"Guess I can listen to the Sting episode now," Callum stated before tilting his head upwards to see Marcus' face. "I'll explain it all later, if you want?" the Brit suggested with a lowered voice.
"If you feel comfortable with it," Marcus replied, resting his head on Callum's shoulder. The Brit's cheeks flushed as he saw Mabel look at him and Marcus with a smirk. Callum mouthed 'piss off' to the woman before Jan spoke again.
"Oh, sorry, right," Jan apologised before flicking the page. "But what about the cat?"
"The who?" Charles asked.
"Well, I'm just going over your notes here and why aren't we looking more at this man, Howard Morris?" Jan explained, looking around the group with a serious expression.
"Okay..." Oliver muttered from beside Callum, on the verge of giving up his patience with the woman.
"Because Howard is a sweet man who couldn't hurt a fly?" Callum suggested.
"Wait, you're suggesting an entirely new suspect?" Mabel raised the issue, Callum nodding along to the woman's words. This confirmed that Jan wasn't the killer, not that he actually thought that but what kind of killer would suggest a different suspect when the investigators are already focus on one that isn't you?
"It is outside the box," Charles defended his girlfriend.
"A little too outside the box."
"Yeah, I have an idea. Why don't we shove it back into the box and hope they don't notice it when we return it," Oliver suggested, waving his hands around dramatically.
