"It's ok, you can open your eyes. You're safe now."

Rose carefully opened her eyes and found she was in the treetops with suspicion bridges made of wood going in every direction.

"Wow...Did you make all this?" She asked in awe.

"Yep." Peet replied simply, going ahead of her and doing a few cartwheels, making the bridge shake slightly.

"Where are we going?"

"Cy mastle- my castle."

"You have a castle!?"

"Yes, it's not far from here, you just go this way, that way, and that way again, and then this way twice." He replied, pointing in different directions with his socked hands, one of which was bleeding quite a bit from the fang.

"You arm!" She exclaimed.

Peet finally seemed to notice his injury. "Oh! That's why it hurt. It's ok I have some pandages at my blace."

He did a few more cartwheels and started skipping in the direction of what Rose guessed was his castle. After about ten minutes of following him they came upon a large treehouse.

"Here it is!" He exclaimed proudly.

Rose's jaw dropped, it wasn't exactly a castle, but it was still amazing. "You made this?"

"Yep! Four times to be exact. Come inside!" He grabbed her hand and led her in. The inside was a bit messy, but from experience of watching the Igiby kids grow up, this was nothing.

There were a few shelves full of books with papers scattered everywhere, and there was even a stove in the corner.

"Peet, this is amazing!" She exclaimed.

He blushed as he replied. "It's nothing, my second castle was the best."

"What happened to your other castles?"

"They burned down." He replied casually, looking through several shelves and grabbing a bandage for his arm.

"They what?"

"They burned down." He repeated, trying to wrap up his arm but failing because of the socks.

"How did they burn down?" She asked.

"I forgot to open the roof thing." He gestured to the ceiling.

She looked up to find a small opening with a string attached to it, and out a nearby window she could see burn marks on some nearby trees.

She turned back to him and saw him started to get frustrated with the bandage. "Would you like some help?"

"Yes please." He replied, giving the wad to her and holding out his bad arm.

"Do you have any kind of ointment?" She asked, noticing the redness around to wound.

He got up and walked over to a trunk, after rummaging for a bit he came back with a small bottle and handed it to her.

"Thank you."

"Po nob- no problem." He replied.

She got her handkerchief out of her pocket and poured the liquid onto it.

Peet watched as Rose gently began to clean the wound, not even noticing the slight sting coming from it, he was too focused on the woman beside him. The way her face scrunched up as she concentrated, and the way her eyes were focused, and how gentle her touch was. He thought she was the most beautiful woman in all of Aerwiar.

"Thanks again for saving me." She said as she began to bandage his arm.

"I'd save you anytime."

It was her turn to blush.

I love these two so much
