Natalia
How are they here? Why are they here? Who died? How's Jack? What's he doing? All of these thoughts circle my head as we silently make our way to the willow, where I spent more nights than I can count crying over them.

"How are you here Natalia?" Hermione asks in a serious voice once we sit down. I let my head fall against the tree and the day I died flashes through my mind,

"It's a long story," I sigh closing my eyes, I move my head from the tree to Harry's shoulder, and smile slightly,

"We have time," Harry rushes,

"It's complicated,"

"Explain it," Hermione pushes, when I look at her, her face is full of pain, and tear stains on her cheeks,

"You'll look at me and Simba differently," I whisper using Jack's animagus name, not looking at either of them and staring out to the lake.

"What's going on Nat? You're never this vague," Harry asks worry evident in his tone,

"If I say it, it makes it more real than it already is," I haven't admitted it out loud,

"What more real than the fact your jersey says Gryffindor, very unlike you for making up a name," Harry teases trying to make me feel better,

"Hahaha funny thing, so that is my last name," I laugh awkwardly, and unbraiding my hair,

"That name is a thousand years old you can't have that last name," Hermione reasons shaking her head,

"Yeah, so the thing is Godric was cursed by a wizard so his descendants could only have one male heir. And you're looking at the only second child and female of the Gryffindor line......surprise?" I blurt out before slapping my hands over my mouth. Harry and Hermione look at me in shock, confusion, and disbelief, I run my hands through my hair once I finish unbraiding it and ask a question I have been wanting to ask since they got here.

"How is he?" I whisper it was almost inaudible, Harry and Hermione look at each other with worried glances,

"He's not himself, he doesn't smile, he only leaves the house for work and even then he does the most dangerous tasks he could do," Harry responds hesitantly and slowly waiting for me to process. He's trying to get himself killed. He's mourning how I should be. He's miserable. I miss him. He misses me. Who else did he lose? If he dies does he come here?

"Nat it's not your fault," Hermione whispers and reaches up to my cheek and wipes away tears I didn't realise were even there,

"Don't lie to me Mione," I mumble and lean forward pulling her into a hug, "I miss everyone," I whisper into her ear,

"Everyone misses you," Sighing, I think, When did life get so hard? Pulling back I stand up and clear my throat,

"Come on I'm showing you how the Marauders party, puts all of our parties to shame from what I've heard," I laugh at the last bit and wipe the rest of the tears from my face with the sleeve of my jersey. We all stand up and make our way back to the castle,

"You know after the war everyone was mourning but I didn't want to say goodbye yet," Hermione starts, I look at her with raised eyebrows silently asking her to continue, It's so weird being dead but alive. "So I remembered you said you'd teach me how to party properly, so I would go out to clubs and stuff. It felt like I had my best friend back," I feel my eyes watering again, I look up and start fanning my eyes willing myself not to cry again,

"Fuck Mione I don't want to cry again," I tease and manage to regain myself right as we reach the portrait, "Fortuna major," The fat lady opens up and we are met with streamers and some lights, "Told you," I whisper to the both of them and bring them to my dorm and knock in case the girls are getting ready,
"Go away, Potter! How did you even get up here!?" Lily yells and I open the door. Lily and Alice are sitting at the window painting each other's nails, Marlene and Mary throwing clothes from their trunks trying to find what to wear,
