"Karev and O'Malley are bringing up a GSW. Do you want to scrub in?" Dr. Burke asked as she walked off the elevator.

"No can do. No extra work. I'm trying to get out of here at a decent hour tonight."

"Oh, you got a date?"

"Yes. Yes, I do. A handsome man is whisking me away to a love nest for the weekend." Miranda smiled, walking away. There was no way in hell she was missing her anniversary weekend. Especially after standing him up for Valentine's Day a few months back. The kids were staying at his dad's house and she was lucky to have a child-free weekend for much-needed adult time.

At 6:30 Miranda made her way to the locker room and got dressed she did her makeup before fixing her hair. Her husband was still mad that she cut her hair short. He said it was sexy, but it was something he was going to have to get used to. Sliding on her heels Miranda looked at herself in the mirror. She looked sexy. Her breasts were bigger as well as her hips. She was definitely going to have to start eating better, to get some of this weight down.

Miranda dropped her charts off at the nurses' station and told everyone good night. She also made sure they knew not to page her unless it was an emergency. On her way out the door, she saw Derek sitting in the chair with his briefcase. He looked sort of defeated.

"How's your patient, the one that got her soul back?" She asked catching his attention.

"She's going to be fine," Derek spoke as they both turned to the knock on the window.

Miranda smiled brightly and nodded at Ben. He looked so good in his suit. She was excited about tonight specifically the dessert portion. He booked them a luxury suite on the water.

"Got to go." She stated, quickly.

"Look at you. You look like a girl." Derek acknowledged with amusement in his voice causing Miranda to glare heavily. "Is that your date?"

"My husband." She nodded.

"You're married?"

"Yes, we've been together for 15 years, married for 8 today."

"How come I didn't know you were married?" Derek asked shocked, turning in his seat.

"We haven't known each other that long and you never asked, but I would like for you to meet him," Miranda said truthfully and waved her hand for Ben to come inside.
"Dr. Derek Shepherd this is my husband Benjamin Warren. Ben Warren this is Dr. Shepherd."

"Ah, Dr. Shepherd. She raves about you. You're her favorite." Ben smiled shaking his hand.

"Baby don't tell him that," Miranda whined, swatting his shoulder.

"Oh, I'm sorry." He responded, quickly.

"Too late you're my favorite too Bailey and my lips are sealed."

"They better be. I don't want to have to hurt you."

"Your wife is violent." Derek laughed.

"I am well aware."

"What do you do for work Ben?"

"I am the director of engineering at Kanda Software."

"Ah, you guys made the code for vital sign monitors in the majority of the hospitals on the Pacific coast."

"That would be us." Ben nodded, surprised that he knew that.

"I read about that specific company a few weeks ago. I'm doing some research with neurological technology and we are trying to find an adequate software development company to help with the device."
