Been together since childhood,

And the times seems to be passing by more.

Yet everything seems to be the same,

Even though we are miles apart since years,
I still don't seem to get used to not being annoyed by you
I miss those times when we were together for almost the whole day,
How fun it was to irritate our mom's and then hide from the adults too

I can't help but notice,
How we are slowly drifting apart,
I think this cursed distance is now finally doing it's part.
I wonder if we'll also end up
Like those bestfriends of name,
Who just have a tag,
But the feelings are buried away

I know it's so very wrong of me to be jealous of your new friends who are always with you,
But I'm still so selfish that I wanna ask,
Could you please come back

Can we please go back to our childhood?
To those times we would sit on the same bench everyday in school?
I wish we could again go at each other's place, play in the name of study, and secretly go cycling too

Can you just come back and walk with me holding hands to the shop we always loved?
I'd love to see that series again, which you so much love...
Could you please come back and cook Maggie for me again? I so miss your antique recipes that i used hate back in the days

I know we don't have any "anniversary"
Like all friends do,
But can we please just have one day,
Where you'd come back to me,
Even if it's just for a second...
I'd be more than satisfied with that too
