For her- A sister to my soul

In life, we cross path with many,
So many come and go
But there is always this one person
That stays, that touches the deepest parts of soul

It's like you instantly click,
Its like you never not knew each other before
The conversations are ceaseless
There is never any formal hello

She, unknowingly start feeling like safe place
Its then, that she became a home
The home, that gives you peace
And also the one that shelters you from sunstrokes.

This girl, that i met, not longer than a year ago
She has now become a home
She isn't just a friend any longer,
She is a sister to my soul

We may not share a name
Our blood may not be connected
But still I'll call you my home,
Cuz its no blood that makes you my sister
Rather, its how you understand me
As if I'm your own

You aura, a warm chaos
Your words, fiery like you
Yet somehow, you feel to me
Like the shimmer on water
Of the moon's soft glow

You are like a book to me
Written in a language,
Basics of which i hardly know
you are a challenge to decipher
An anciet secret
That will take an eternity to unravel

And so i wish,
I can stay a bit longer,
To uncover the knowledge you hold
But time, i think however much i get
Will always feel limited
Cuz you, my sister,
Are half human,
And half the universe,
too vast to bind
Too vast, to uncover,
In my short time.

himani1411 dear di,

When i recieved your gifts today, i seriously had no words to describe what i felt. I told you, you'll spoil me rotten. My Standards sky rocketed today.

Those priceless items had me fumbling, as you might've observed. There was no limit to this warm feeling i got in my chest. And so, i thought the best way to describe would be a poem.

I'm no good poet who would know to write deep, meaningful poems....but i tried my best to describe you, in exact feelings that i felt....par then, curse my limited vocabulary.

Apke handwritten letter, and gift box ke samne ye zyada khuch nahi but

For now, kaam chala lena.

Love you,
Your cheena!

Ps:- Yes I'm the brat who loves showoff...and so I'm going to flaunt this fire of a woman I've got as my sister!
