Chapter 3

It's been a week since I last saw Mom, or that's just myself gaslighting myself that it's been a week since I last saw Samuel.

"Ha... need to freshen up a bit. Finals are so stressing." I close my eyes and lean on my chair a bit.

"Hey, Hebreo. Have some coffee for a bit." I open my eyes and saw Nina, oh... the girl that confessed to me. She got some guts.

"Oh... thank you, I guess..." I said bago ko kinuha ang can of coffee sa kamay n'ya. She smiled at me before taking a seat beside me.

"How's your review? Mukhang stressed ka na."

"Ah, oo. Ang daming memorization at enumeration. Need to focused or else mawawala ako sa deans lister."

"That's so like you. Lagi kang focused sa studies. Loosened up a bit. Mamaya magkaroon ka ng wrinkles sa face mo, sige ka." She chuckled and I just stare at her.

I'm not gonna lie but she's beautiful, having those brown wavy hair, soft and delicate skin, perfect arch of nose and eyebrows, pink small lips, rosy cheeks, and ehem, her body full of curves that looks so good to touch. But all of that didn't have an effect on me. I don't know why.

She confessed to me but parang wala lang. I didn't feel the spark that I'm finding whenever we bond sometimes. I guess, it's not the right person for me. And I don't care.

"Uh... is there something on my face?"

I snap at my own thoughts and look at her blushing and putting a strand of her hair behind her ears.

"Ah, sorry. May iniisip lang ako, my mind flew away haha." She just nod her head at me and continue where we left to talk.

"REOOOOO! BROOOO! TARA NA SA UNLI WINGS!" nakita ko silang dalawa ni Kei na tumatakbo papunta sa akin.

"Oh your friends are here now, I'm going now. Take care, Hebreo." Kumaway s'ya sa'kin at kumaway ako pabalik.

"Who's that chick?" Kei ask.

"Nina, some acquaintance. We met last two weeks. Nothing more. So stop that smirking face of yours." I frown ny eyebrows at him and he just laughed.

"Tara na, gutom na ako. Ang init pa."

And with that, we walk to the nearest unli wings shop.

Few minutes later we arrived and Reign open the door for us to go inside. As I step my foot inside, I saw Samuel. With another girl. Tumingin din si Kei sa tinignan ko kaya nakita n'ya si Samuel.

"Oh? Si Samuel yon ah, sino kaya yung girl?" He look at me.

"Shut up, tsaka wag ka nga tumingin don. Mahalata ka pa eh."

"Hmm... Okay, Reign, tara don sa usual seat nating tatlo."

Great, just great.

"Upo na kayo, oorder na ako. Kei, behave ha." Reign playfully ruffles his hair and Kei slap his hand away.

"Fuck off, 'mnot a child. Bilisan mo na, gutom na ako." Reign walk away and order our foods.

"So, Reo. Kamusta kayo ni Samuel?" He wiggled his eyebrows.

"Huh? What are you talking about? Hindi na ulit kami nakakapag-usap. Last last week pa yon. Tsaka hayaan mo na nga, he looks peaceful naman."

"Tinanong lang naman, daming explanation ha." He laugh silently.

"Silence, Kei. Baka marinig ka."

"Pero hindi nga, gusto mo 'no? Kita kita nung nakaraan, you stalk him on ig hehehehe~"

My eyes widen, this brat!

"Ano ba?! Manahimik ka nga, also there's nothing wrong about that, nakita ko lang sa mutuals, kaya pinindot ko." I feel my cheeks heaten up so I cover it with my hands.

"Ohohoho~ what do we have here? And how about that Nina then? Gusto mo ba? Maganda s'ya ah."

"Can you not? Eh kayo ni Sid?" He got quite. Bingo.

"About that, papa-tattoo ulit ako hehe."

"Not again, Kei. Saan ka na naman magpapa-tattoo?"

"Sa tummy ko. Less pain." I rolled my eyes on him and drink some water.

"Oh, nakita na tayo ni Samuel." He wave behind me so I look back and saw that Samuel is smiling at us.

So I waved back and smile back.

"Wait me here, Jia. Kakamustahin ko lang sila." I saw the girl nod her head as Samuel pat her arm before going to us.

"Hey, Hebreo, Kei. Kayo lang ba ang nandito?"

"Ah, hindi, kasama namin yung isa pa naming kaibigan, si Reign. Ah, ito na pala s'ya eh."

"Oh, who do we have here? You're Samuel right?" Reign ask him.

"Ah yes, and you are?"

"Reign, nice to meet you." They exchange shake hands before looking at me directly.

"Hey, long time no see. Your mom's been wanting to see you again. Tinanong n'ya ako kung kailan ka ulit bibisita." He smiled

"Ah, siguro pag tapos ng finals exam namin, don't worry, pagtapos na pagtapos, pupuntahan ko agad s'ya." I chuckled and he nods his head.

"Yeah, sasabihin ko kay tita. Oh, it's already that time huh? Aalis na kami ni Jia, may pupuntahan pa kami eh, nice meeting you guys again." He wave at us and walk towards the girl named "Jia" at pinulupot ng babae ang kanyang kamay sa braso ni Samuel bago sila lumabas.

Suddenly, it got silent for the three of us. Naramdaman siguro ang pagka-tahimik ko.

"That's it, Reo. Gusto mo s'ya. 'Wag mo nang i-deny, naneto eh no. Bading." Sabi ni Kei na walang preno ang pasmadong bibig.

"Stop it, Kei. He doesn't look happy either. Shut it." Sinuway ni Reign si Kei at pinagpa-tuloy ko lang ang pagkain ko.

"Stop concluding. Gutom ako kaya tahimik ako. Gagawin ko naman kung sila nung Jia? Don't care, hell nah."

Tinaas ni Kei ang kanyang kilay sa'kin at tumingin ng seryoso sa mga mata ko.

"Okay, kid yourself then."

"Let's just eat, mamaya na yan."

"Finally, FINALS DONE! SEMBREAK NA!" Reign sudden out burst, he's always like this pag malapit na ang break. Well, I feel the same way too. Sinong hindi matutuwa? Babatukan ko talaga ang nalulungkot pag sembreak.

"Yeah, anong plano n'yo? Itong si Reo, as always sa mommy n'ya ang punta. Ikaw, Kei? Paiba-iba ka kasi eh."

"Hmm... Maybe pupunta kila Reo, kakamustahin ko rin si tita."

"Punta kayo sa Sunday, mag luluto raw si mama. She messaged me this morning. Missed na rin daw kayo." Their faces lit up from my news and nod their head immediately.

"Hell yeah, we'll come on Sunday!" They both exclaimed and I just laugh silently at them.

"Also Reo, papa-tattoo ako ha, don't forget, sasamahan mo ulit ako." He smirked at me.

"Oo na, kailan ba?"

"Kung kailan free si Sid, of course. I'll message you na lang, hingi mo akong chocolates kay tita ha, masarap gumawa si tita eh."

My Mom's homemade chocolate is really the best, hindi na kami nabili ng chocolate sa store kasi s'ya na mismo ang nagawa para sa aming magkakaibigan.

"Well then, makikita mo na ulit si Samuel, of maybe ever better, pag punta n'yo sa inyo hehehe~" He laugh at his own silliness.
