"So~~ What happened?" Lauren asked in a teasing voice.
"I— we— ugh! How do I say this!?" I struggled for words. Even if I had words, what would I tell her? That we kissed? Maybe?
"Scott?" She asked, looking confused. Then realisation dawned on her face. And the stupid smile. "You—"
"SHHH! Not here!" I whispered to her, gesturing to the fact that our mum was only across the garden. She lowered her voice to a whisper and asked,
"So~~ you have a thing for fish~"
"Shut u—"
"Don't you tell me to shut up Scot Major. Anyway! Was he a good kisser?~"
