Angel called me a million times the morning of Olivia's quince. We were supposed to help Olivia get ready. But I texted her there was an emergency and I was gonna be late.

I felt sick after last night. I threw up right when we came home.

I couldn't sleep. Cesar slept on the ground next to me since he didn't wanna be alone.

When we got home Oscar only asked how everything went. We told him it went good and left to go get ready for bed. I saw him looking at me when I went from the bathroom to my bedroom last night, probably to see if I was okay.

I just ignored him.

'Where's your hair?' I asked Cesar as I walked into his room, all ready to go. 'Now he also looks like a Santo' Oscar said as he helped Cesar with his tie.

'You look pretty, princesa' Oscar said as I looked in Cesar's mirror at the purple, shiny dress Olivia chose.

'I'm getting a little blind, but I'll have to suck it up' I sighed, adjusting my dress. 'Purple isn't exactly my favorite color'

'What color was your quince dress then?' Oscar asked, chuckling after the purple comment.

'You ready to go, hermanito?' I asked Cesar, ignoring Oscar. 'Angel is blowing up my phone'

Cesar nodded and one of the Santos brought us to the church. We walked towards the entrance where Monse and Ruby were handing out flyers.

'He's not coming' we heard Monse say as we walked closer. 'But he's already here' Cesar said, grabbing the attention of the other two.

'Give me some of those' Cesar said, grabbing some flyers to hand out to the people walking in.

'Where's Angel?' I asked Ruby as he and Monse kept staring at Cesar and I. 'Helping Olivia' he mumbled back.

I went towards the room where Olivia was waiting for her moment to finally start. I walked in and saw her talking with Angel.

'Finally, bitch' angel sighed. 'Don't curse at church' I chuckled at how she looked in the dress.

We were a little too old to be wearing it. But it's okay. It makes Olivia happy at her quince. There's worse things in the world.

'Is everything okay? Angel said there was an emergency' Olivia asked after she hugged me. 'When you see Cesar, you'll know what the emergency is' I joked, making Olivia nod.

'You look beautiful' I smiled at her, looking at her big, pink dress and her tiara. 'Thank you' she smiled shyly. 'You really do' Angel agreed with me.

We reassured Olivia everything was gonna go perfect. And soon after, the mass ended and she did great.

Angel and I were talking with Abuelita, when I saw Cesar talking with Ruby and Monse.

He's gonna tell.

I excused myself and I walked over to them as quickly as I could. 'He's not dead, but he's gone' Cesar said, right when I got to them.

'I told you, you weren't supposed to tell' I told Cesar sternly, panic setting inside of me. Nobody can know.

'I'm sorry' Cesar said, making me rub the sides of my head. 'What does that mean?' Monse asked us confused.

Cesar didn't stop pestering me about the idea of letting Latrelle go and let him disappear. All while I was still holding the gun towards him.

After so much convincing from the both of them, I panicked and got scared even more.

We let him go.

Latrelle suggested I shot in one of the cans, so they can see one bullet missing and the smell of it. Cesar and I had to take off our hoodies and put them in the garbage can because obviously there wasn't any blood on them.
