All the murder, all the hate and blood
The carnage from a savage war
Created by a wild beast
That plagues this world from land to shore
Feared by many, if not all
The one called man, the wild thing
That sabotages all the beauty
That this world attempts to bring
Cut and destroy our resources
Poison the sea and the sky
Animals that should be let free
Shoot them, strip 'em, leave them to die
Truly men are foolish
Many ill in the mind
Lie, cheat, and whisper
Just to break down their own kind
To brawl and stab in the shadows
Do uselessly yet ruthlessly fight
To bring upon us growing darkness
And extinguish any light
Have you seen the beggars, ruined by war?
Have you seen the injured and weak?
Have you seen the orphans and widows?
Those who are blind, deaf, unable to speak?
And have you seen those who call themselves powerful?
Who look down upon others?
Who pushed aside and hate the 'lesser'?
Although we're all sisters and brothers?
But these people aren't truly rich
The kind and loving have true wealth
Some are strong able to walk,
But the pure hearted have greater health
Surely there are some who aren't plagued
Who make hope and happiness believable
Who try to cleanse this world
Although that is unachievable
Man was given one task
That we have forgotten in our vanity
This damage, troubled, unsalvageable world
This is what we call humanity
A/N:
We call ourselves human and yet that's the last thing we are
Obviously, it's not all of us, but sometimes those who do nothing are worse than those who do bad.
Peace ✌🏽
