Alone in the rain I contemplate life
While the droplets goes pitter-patter
The little brown bench darkens with every drop
As I listen to the rain's ceaseless chatter
And alone in the rain, I watch the world around me
The scurrying creatures and dripping leaves
And my hair is plastered to my face
Water slides down my slippery sleeves
Alone in rain, I race around
And lift my face up to the sky
Water splashes up where my feet touch down
Until I'm weary, and on the drowning grass I lie
Alone in the rain, I wonder what it would feel like
To be a simple droplet of rain
Falling and rising in an infinite cycle
No worry or tears, anger or pain
And alone in the rain, I realize
How beautiful it is to be alone
Left by myself, with Nature's bounty
I'm alone in the rain, drenched to the boneA/N:
Oh, water. So peaceful and so terrifying
