𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐆 that had enraptured her mind, but as soon as sheridan overheard steve's screams, she shot awake. "steve?" she asked loudly. not only did she noticed that the russian men still had them surrounded, but that she was also strapped to a chair, along with steve and robin. "steve?!" dani turned her head, a gun of some sort in her peripheral. a bald man in a white uniform and leather apron stood next to them, wielding the contraption. sherrie's eyes widened when she noticed the giant needle protruding from her best friend's neck. "what the fuck?!"

"you picked a bad time to wake up, dani," robin warned quietly. before she knew it, the russians had replaced both the needle and the serum.

"don't fucking touch her!" steve shouted, his voice cracking. the doctor nabbed a fistful of sheridan's orange waves and tilted her head to this side.

"what the hell do you think you're-" the russians had developed a knack for stopping the girl mid-sentence, she had found. the cold needle pressed against her neck before entering. "oh my god!" she shrieked, tears rolling down her swollen cheek. she nearly toppled back over from the pain. as the man finished administering her the toxin, he moved onto robin. dani's sobs only grew now that she was fully present to hear robin's cries.

after they were through with the three of them, the russians packed up and left without another word. the trio sat in silence for a good five minutes, before robin asked, "dani, are you okay?"

"i mean, i guess," she scoffed. "how are you guys? you doin' okay?"

"honestly, i don't really feel anything," steve replied.

"me either," robin amended. "i feel fine. i feel normal."

"yeah, i fe-i feel fine..." steve agreed. "i kinda feel good," he disclosed after a moment. a snicker rose up through sherrie's body. the more she came to, the more she felt as though she had just smoked the best doobie of her life.

"wanna know a secret?" robin asked through her own giggle.

"what?"

"i like it, too!" the three were now cracking up, rocking back and forth as much as they physically could.

"morons, they messed up the drug!" steve exclaimed.

"they messed it up!" robin joined. "morons!"

"no they didn't," sheridan stated nonchalantly, even continuing to chuckle. robin and steve's laughter slowly died down.

"huh?" steve inquired.

"they want us to loosen up," dani explained, "and by the looks of it, we're pretty loose." steve being steve, and robin being robin, they couldn't help but erupt with laughter. the shaffer girl shook her head.

abruptly, the door clicked open, and the russians entered the room once more. the head russian stood directly in front of steve while the doctor made his way over to the medical table and began to unpack his supply bag. a blade sounded as he unsheathed it from his case. "is now a good time to tell you i don't like doctors?" robin queried.
