In the morning, Raven, determined to unravel the mysteries surrounding Eve's past, made a call to Alex, the head anchor of S2.

As the phone connected, Alex's voice resonated through the line, "Raven, what brings you to my morning? Need a scoop or just checking in?"

Raven, his tone serious, replied, "I need every piece of information you have on Sarah Dale's accident. I want to cross-check some details."

There was a brief pause on the other end, followed by Alex's reassurance, "Alright, give me a moment. I'll gather everything I have. But Raven, why this sudden interest in a past case?"

Raven, choosing his words carefully, responded, "Let's just say there are some discrepancies that need clarification. I'll explain later."

As Raven waited for the information, the weight of his investigation hung in the air. .

Later that morning, Raven sought out Eve, finding her in the garden, surrounded by the vibrant hues of blooming flowers. The sunlight painted a warm backdrop as Raven approached her with a gentle smile.

Eve, engrossed in tending to the flowers, looked up as Raven neared. "Hey," she greeted, her eyes lighting up with a soft warmth.

Raven, captivated by her presence, responded, "Hey Love." He reached out to gently brush a strand of hair away from her face.

Eve playfully swatted his hand, "Flattery won't get you anywhere, Mr. Bodyguard."

Raven chuckled, "Who said I'm trying to get anywhere? Maybe I just enjoy being near you."

Eve's cheeks flushed with a rosy tint as she teased, "Smooth talker, aren't you?"

Raven, with a twinkle in his eyes, leaned in closer, "Maybe I just have a good teacher." He placed a soft kiss on her forehead.

Eve's heart skipped a beat as she looked up at him, a mix of affection and happiness in her eyes. "You're sweet, Raven."

The gentle rustle of leaves and the soft hum of nature enveloped Raven and Eve in a cocoon of tranquility. Raven, stealing a glance at Eve, couldn't help but be captivated by the way the sunlight danced in her eyes.

Eve, sensing Raven's gaze, looked up with a playful smirk. "What's going on in that mysterious mind of yours?"

Raven chuckled, "Just wondering how I got so lucky to have you in my life."

Eve rolled her eyes playfully, "Oh, spare me the charm, Detective."

Raven feigned offense, placing a hand over his heart. "I thought I was the smooth talker."

Eve giggled, "You are, but I can see through your tricks, Mr. Mysterious."

As they strolled through the garden, Raven couldn't shake off the feeling of gratitude for the moments they shared. The secrets he held about Sarah Dale's past weighed on him, but he chose to shield Eve from that burden for now.

Eve, stopping by a vibrant bed of flowers, picked a delicate bloom and tucked it behind Raven's ear. "There, now you match the garden."

Raven smirked, "Am I a flower now?"

Eve nodded with a mischievous glint, "A mysterious flower, perhaps."

Raven couldn't help but smile at Eve's playful remark. "A mysterious flower, huh? I suppose I'll have to live up to that image."

Eve leaned against him, her head resting on his shoulder. "Well, you've got the mysterious part down. Now, let's see if you can bloom beautifully too."

Raven chuckled, "I'll do my best, but I might need some guidance from my lovely gardener."
