Just what is the color of your eyes?
I've stared at them for so long,
Studying the hues of your irises,
Yet I still cannot answer this question.

Today you're wearing a green shirt.
You like green, your favorite color,
Mine, too, when you wear it.
Our eyes meet and I get lost in them,
Hazel gold surrounded by sage,
Pots of amber tea on a chilly autumn day.

That grey hoodie is your last line of defense against the cold January wind,
But I love how light colors look on you.
Your curly locks of hair shine golden,
Almost hiding the ashy tints of your eyes.
Dark storms are raging in them,
A cool breeze blows your curls away from your face.

But when it's brown the color that you wear,
So do your eyes, turning warmer.
Pots of honey, golden flakes,
Sunshine dances in pretty sparkles.
It's like you synthesized warmth and safety,
And put them as irises in your eyes.

So how could I not get lost?
Looking in your eyes is enough to leave me confused.
Who are you, hiding the secrets of prisms?
And turning my world into a masterpiece of colors.
