The excitement in Hogwarts reached its peak as students buzzed with anticipation for the upcoming Yule Ball. The Great Hall was adorned with festive decorations, and the air was filled with a sense of enchantment. As the last day of term before Christmas break unfolded, the castle was alive with the energy of students asking each other out to the Yule Ball.

In the common rooms and corridors, you could hear whispers of nervous invitations, laughter, and the occasional squeal of delight as someone received an affirmative response. The magical atmosphere of the Yule Ball had woven its spell, creating an air of anticipation and celebration.

Amidst the flurry of activity, Alexia found herself caught up in the excitement. She observed her fellow students as they gathered the courage to ask someone special to the ball. The common room was abuzz with chatter about who would be attending with whom, and the tension of the impending event added an extra layer of excitement to the festive season.

As the day progressed, the castle seemed to hum with magical energy, and even the professors couldn't help but be swept up in the enthusiasm. The Great Hall, where the Yule Ball would take place, awaited its transformation into a dazzling venue for the most anticipated event of the school year.

During a free period, Alexia found herself in the company of Neville Longbottom. The quiet and shy Gryffindor seemed a bit fidgety as if he had something on his mind. Curiosity got the better of Alexia, and she decided to strike up a conversation.

"Hey, Neville, everything alright?" she asked, her tone friendly and inviting.

Neville hesitated for a moment, glancing around before finally deciding to share his news. "Well, uh, I... I've got a date for the Yule Ball."

Alexia couldn't help but be intrigued. Neville wasn't known for being bold in matters of romance. "Really? That's great! Who's the lucky person?"

A shy smile played on Neville's lips as he revealed, "It's Ginny."

Surprise registered on Alexia's face, though she quickly masked it with a supportive smile. "Ginny, huh? That's fantastic, Neville! She's a great choice. You two will have a blast at the ball."

Neville, relieved by Alexia's positive response, seemed to gain a bit more confidence. "Yeah, I asked her, and she said yes. I'm just hoping I won't step on her feet during the dance."

Alexia chuckled, offering some reassurance, "I'm sure you'll do just fine, Neville. Just relax and enjoy the evening. Ginny will appreciate the effort you put into making it special."

As the conversation continued, Alexia couldn't help but feel a sense of pride for Neville. The Yule Ball was shaping up to be an eventful evening for many, and Neville's courage in asking Ginny showcased a different side of him.

Neville's question about whether Alexia had a date for the Yule Ball drew her attention away from her thoughts. As if on cue, Hermione emerged from the library, engrossed in a book.

Neville raised an eyebrow, noticing Alexia's lingering gaze. "Are you sure about that? It looks like you have someone in mind."

Alexia's cheeks flushed slightly, and she grinned sheepishly. "Well, you caught me. There's someone I'd like to ask, but I'm not sure if she's interested."

Alexia continued to watch Hermione from a distance, lost in her thoughts, Ginny arrived and joined them. A mischievous glint sparkled in Ginny's eyes as she noticed Alexia's gaze fixed on their bookish friend.

Ginny, with a mischievous grin, nudged Alexia. "You've got it bad, don't you?"

Alexia's cheeks reddened, and she tried to play it cool. "Got what bad? I don't know what you're talking about."
