Warnings- smut, fingering, fisting? I don't know if I'm using that correctly. Long chapter, a cliffhanger in the end. slight cursing and a love triangle.

"Huh?" I act oblivious. He prances on me like a hungry lion and snatches the phone from my hands. "Who the fuck is this?" He shouts.

Crickets.

I sigh, thankful that Bucky had hung up. "Who was on the phone?" He questioned. "Nobody." I shrugged.

"Don't you fucking lie to me y/n!" He yelled. "Believe what you want, I already said nobody."

"I'm going to track the number and you better hope I don't get a location." He pushes past me, elbowing me on the way out.

I slowly bite my lip and pray Bucky calls on a burner phone. Taking a few deep breaths, I look back to the closet where all my clothes remained the same.

I take out a glittery dress slip it on pair it with some silver heels and wear my hair in a high ponytail. I had just finished my makeup when the nanny came barging in with a crying Gaby squirming around in her arms.

"I'm sorry but she keeps calling for you." She grimaced. I set my makeup brush down. "It's fine." I stick my hands out and she hands me Gaby who immediately quiets down in my arms. "You calling for me?" I say to her and she nods, wiping her tears.

"Yeah."

"She kept saying, mama." The nanny informed me. A train wrecked me inside. I didn't want to be her Mother, it would just make things harder but a part of me loved it.

"Can you have a diaper bag ready, we'll be leaving soon."

"Yes, ma'am."

I hand Gaby my makeup brush to play and Miguel walks in. "So?" I ask, trying to pretend that I'm not scared. "Your loverboy used a burner phone." He grit.

Thank god.

"Or, maybe it was nobody and I was just listening to a voicemail," I said annoyed. "I checked you had no fucking voicemails."

He steps closer to me and Gaby. "Who's the man you've been seeing?" He says each word slowly. "I already-

He slams his hand on the vanity scaring the shit out of me and Gaby. She wails from fright and hangs on to me tightly. "Way to go, you idiot!" I scolded.

"It's your fault." He retorts. "Sssh, it's okay." I bounce her up and down. "Give her to me." He says and I pull her away. "No."

"She's my daughter." He snaps. "Well, technically she's now mine too," I say as I motion the unwanted ring on my finger. "Step-mother." He corrects.

"Still a mother." I rebuttled.

"Y/N just give her to me."

'She's scared of you." I whisper. "We're afraid of you." I then say. He lays a hand on her back and rubs the circle. "I'm sorry mama." He whispers close to her ear. Then he looks up to me. "I'm sorry bebita."

He slowly takes her and carries her in his arms. I curse to myself, remembering how sweet and tender he can be to that little girl.

To me.

Gaby stops crying and calms down at his humming. "Why couldn't you always be like this?" I whisper sadly.

"I could be."

He brings his hand up and strokes my cheek. "I could be." He repeated and I breathed out a long breath. I got my hope once and it was torn apart. I don't want to get my hopes up again.
