entwined

take the dagger, run it across my body,
twist it in me and let me breathe,
let the blood spray these gray walls,
soaked in the blood of the defeated,

screams of my quenched soul gets louder,
silences grew, words became shorter,
warmth of your shade turns to flames,
all that's left is the remnants of your ashes and mine,

where we lay buried inside this earth,
entangled yet far apart,
ruptures of the rocks grew wider,
echoes of our memories grew louder,

I wait for it to pour, I wait for the wind to blow,
I wait for the pain to wash away,
but the fragments of you still stay etched,
bound forever into grains of the sand where I lay scattered.
