"Why is it that we only understand the meaning,
The value of a person when we lose them forever,
When we come to know that we won't be able to see them,
To feel them close to ourselves, to hear the sound of their laughter,
To talk to them about every single thing?"

She thought to herself as a tear slipped down,
She felt sinking deep down for she knew,
That she won't be able to hold him close to her,
It was just like her life had snatched everything away from her,
She wanted to hold him close, to feel safe in his arms again

Never did she think she would feel this way,
Never did she think someone could mean so much to her,
Never did she think she would regret something so much,
She screamed, cried out loud hoping it would save her from the guilt,
For she held herself responsible for his death

She would come back every single night,
Wishing he was there, sitting in the same chair,
Playing the piano asking her to forget everything,
To feel free and sing along, looking into each others' eyes they would feel the music,
So magical, so beautiful just like the stars in the sky

She would wake up every morning,
To his beautiful face, those glittery, shinny eyes,
The smile on his plump lips telling her,
Her world was complete,
Complete as long as he was there by her side

He always knew what she felt,
He would always see those tears behind her fake smile,
He always thought about her before himself,
His whole world started and ended with her,
He meant the world to her as she meant the world to him

They thought they were together forever,
Their love was as pure as holy water,
As beautiful as the spring time,
They had promised, "To have and to hold,
To cherish and to love 'till death us do part"

But now everything had faded away,
Everything she had was gone far away,
His death left a vacant place in her heart,
That nothing could fill, she felt as if,
As if life had lost all its meaning

Now she lay quiet in one place just thinking,
Closing her eyes she would cherish the beautiful moments,
The very thought of him made her feel safe,
For she now knew that nothing could ever tear them apart,
Neither life, nor death.
