i-jun was born in jeju-do to a lovely couple who owned a restaurant in the town and although they were not well off, i-jun's mom had a sister who was married and lived in canada.
a few months after his 8th birthday, his aunt came to take him with her to canada. i-jun didn't want to go until he found out it was his parent's idea. he felt betrayed and left the country angry at them not realising they were doing it so he could have a brighter future and better opportunities.
he didn't talk to his parents at all when he got to canada but once he was accepted into university, he spoke to then for the first time in ten years but just 3 days after telling them about his acceptance, his parents passes away in a car accident and i-jun was filled with guilt which he still is.
