48) New Year, New Age

A/N: (current day) okay so some of you had mixed feelings about my idea that someone looses a limb, so I'm putting it us to vote. Someone looses a leg and there is probably a book 2, or no one does and it'll probably end with this book. Lmk.

-Bruce POV-

After Nico left the room, Bruce expected the demigods to all grab a number and then threaten their lives; however that wasn't what happened.

Percy shared a look with the other before nodding to them and looking at the Waynes. "Okay so here is how this is going to work: Originally we were all going to threaten each of you individually about how if you hurt Nico in any way, shape, or form, we were going to make your lives literal hell."

"Percy-" Annabeth said, scolding the teen.

"I know, I know," the boy said with a roll of his eyes. "But on the ride down here, we all talked and decided that it would not be needed. You should already know how much we care about Nico and also how powerful each of us are. Threatening you would only be a formality at this point, so we won't do that."

Bruce raised an eyebrow. "I appreciate that. And you should know that we would never do anything to harm him. We care about Nico greatly and I would give my life to protect him."

Reyna nodded to Bruce. "We know. Will has told us about how much you cared for him and how you not only respect his boundaries but reenforced them."

"Of course we did. He is an amazing kid," Dick said with a small smile. "He has told us a lot about you all. Thank you for caring for him as much as you do."

Hazel hesitated for a moment before speaking up. "My brother cares about you all greatly, thank you for giving him a family."

Bruce was about to respond, but surprisingly it was Damian who beat him to it. "He already had a family, we just made it bigger. You will always be his family."

The demigods all smiled before Rachel stood up. "I think it's time for a group hug."

The demigods immediately stood up, the Waynes hesitantly doing the same, and they did a group hug.

"If you hurt him in any way, I will throw you into the pits of Tartarus."

"They will never find your body."

"I will roast you like a pig if you hurt him."

"I will use the full force of the legion to make your lives hell if you do anything to him."

"I will break all of your bones in alphabetical order."

"I will make WE crumble beneath your feet and then, and only then, will I give you the mercy of death."

"We are children of the big three, you won't be able to escape us."

"If something happens to him, be prepared to dry land drown."

"The Nico Protection Squad is more than willing to murder."

"I will have my mother make you ugly and undesirable for the rest of your lives if you even think about doing anything to him."

The whisper threats in their ears finally ceased as they pulled out of the hug. The demigods all had innocent smiles on their faces.

"That was the best the best group hug I've ever been in," Jason (the formerly dead one) said with a laugh. "The undertone of violence was great."

Rachel gave a curtsy. "Thank you, it was my idea. We wanted to be mature about meeting you, but still get our point across."

Stephanie let out a laugh. "You hit the nail right on the head. Do you mind if we use that in the future. Timbo's crush is a friend of-"
