"Hey..." a whisper comes from under the table "Lan Zhan...it worked."
Jiang Cheng then pulls his hands away and Lan Xichen looks confused.
"We can tell uncle and your parents to go ahead with the marriage!" He says
Jiang Cheng frowns "wait"
"What? You're all I've ever wanted...you're beautiful!" Lan Xichen reaches for the Jiang's hand.
"Thank you, but what else?" Jiang Cheng moved away.
Lan Wangji and Wei Wuixian exchange looks "We are fucked."
Lan Xichen looks confused "what else?"
Jiang Cheng nods "is beauty all that matters to you?"

"...what else is there?" Lan Xichen responded.
Jiang Cheng steps on Lan Xichen's foot before storming off.
Wei Wuixian got out from under the table "WHAT ELSE IS THERE WHY YOU LITTLE-"
"Wei Ying! Calm down!" Lan Wangji has to drag the other away.

Lan Qiren slams his hand on the table "What else is there?" He looks upset "A-Cheng asked, is beauty all that matters to you and you say what else is there?!"
Lan Wangji looks at his chess board when Lan Xichen walks away and cheats.
"You should write a book, how to offend your lover in 5 syllables...or less" Lan Qiren rants.
Lan Wangji grins "you lost your queen, Ge!" He waved the chess piece until Lan Xichen snatched it and spoke "That's twice in one day."
Lan Qiren points at Xichen "I...have never felt so disappointed since Wangji got engaged to Wei Wuixian"
Lan Wangji raised his brow "what's that supposed to mean?"

Jiang Cheng sighs as he remembered Lan Xichen's smile. What an...idiot!
He then shut his windows and locked it.
"A-Cheng, maybe you should talk about it?" Wei Wuixian winced as a pillow is thrown directly to his face.
