I could barely get a wink of sleep that night. After I decided that I would make the trip, it was the only thing I could think about for the rest of the night. Even after I showered and got into bed, the last thing on my mind was sleeping.
Every possible reason as to why y/n would have sent me this letter went through my mind at a hundred miles an hour. What if they want to get back together now? What if they had left because they had an opportunity to for something great and now they're coming back to me?
Or, what if they found someone else, and they want to tell me about it now? I don't know if I could handle that to be honest.
Every situation I come up with only gives more fuel to the fire.
I'm not sure when, but I was finally able to sleep for a few hours only to be woken up by the sun because I forgot to draw my curtains.
When I look at my phone, I see it's already 11 am. It's a little later than I would have liked to wake up, but I'm still able to leave at the time I wanted to.
After freshening up, I throw a few things in a backpack and call Changbin.
"Hello?" He sounds wide awake.
"Changbin, what are you doing?" I get straight to the point.
"Nothing, it's an off day so I'm just at home. What do you need, hyung?"
"I need you to watch me on your phone, I'm going out of town for the day and I just need someone to know what I'm doing just in case something were to happen."
Shuffling comes from his side of the phone, like he sat up quickly. "Where are you going that you need me to do that, hyung? Do you need me to go with you?"
"No, no, Bin. This is something I need to do on my own. I'm not 100% sure, but I think this has to do with y/n." I was hesitant to tell him, but I guess there's nothing I can do about it now.
"Y/N? What about them?"
"I got a letter in my mailbox from someone, it has to be them, Bin. It said something about what happened 4 years ago, no one else knows about that besides very few people." I say, glancing at the letter resting on my table.
Changbin sat for a second before responding. "Ok, I'll watch your location, hyung. I know this is important to you, but also try to be safe. Jisung and I know how much you miss y/n, so as a member I can't stop you from going. But as a friend and a brother, I will tell you to be careful, you can never be too sure what this is actually about." He says cautiously.
"I'm sure of this, Bin. It has to be them."
He sighs once and hums. "Ok, hyung. Just be careful, please."
I promise I will and thank him before hanging up. He sounded like he doubted it was them, but I knew he wouldn't tell me that.
After making sure I have everything for the nth time, I leave my apartment to go to my car in the parking garage. The trip is going to be long, and even longer because that's what your mind does to you when you're anticipating something, but it'll be worth it.
After 4 long years, I'm coming y/n.
