Dear Mama and Papa,
Have you been doing well? Fortunately, things are going great at Beacon. I apologize for neglecting to write last week. I had recently joined a school program called: 'Gardens and Herbs Club.' There's only Ren and I, but Jaune-kun is thinking about joining. He said his sisters "monopolized" numerous activities he enjoyed, so he had to make do with what was left.
Spring is beautiful over here. Though, I miss the village when the leaves turn green. The koi river would be sparkling by mid-afternoon, and Papa and Oji-san would have made sakura mochi. The generous array of cherry blossoms is my favorite out of everything.
Pyrrha-san has spoiled me again. I repeatedly insist that she needn't buy me material items, but she doesn't listen. Additionally, I don't understand the look she has in her eyes. It mixes with the expanse of green, but contrasts with her actions. Michael says it's infatuation, but I think it's compassion. Either way, I enjoy being around her. She seems to be opening up a lot lately.
Suzume anxiously taps the back of her pen on her desk.
"What's wrong?" Michael asks.
Suzume chews on her bottom lip, a telltale sign that she's in a dilemma, "Well, I'm wondering if I should tell them. A-About us," she stammers and neatly places her pen beside the paper. She thinks her handwriting is proper, while Michael says it's stylized.
The god sarcastically hums. Suzume knows that doesn't make sense, but that's because only he can do it, "Unless you're referring back to the tens of thousands of times you've said that same sentence, I don't know what you mean."
Suzume cradles her cheeks in her hands, deciding not to respond. She picks up her calico cat pen to continue writing.
It's fun at Beacon, and Vale is just as I imagined. Of course, the kingdom has its rough edges, but I would love for you two to visit. I'm still exploring most of what Vale has to offer. For instance, there's this event in Fall that I had never heard of before. It's called the Vytal Festiva–"
"C'mon, Ana! I'm hungryyyy!" Nora hollars from the other side of her door. Suzume looks at the time on her Scroll before folding her letter and placing it inside her desk's drawer. She grabs her school bag and cleans her vest of any dust, then opens her room to her friends.
Team JNPR and RWBY greet Suzume on the other side. She grins and waves back while closing her door behind her. They start heading toward the stairway when everyone is ready.
"Sorry for making you guys run late. My third period ended early, so I thought I'd get some work done," she sheepishly explains.
Jaune pats her shoulder reassuringly, "Don't sweat it," he says. Suzume blushes out of reflex, but manages to nod. She gulps at their proximity, the hallway only allowing so much space for nine teenagers. Her heart rate only increases when they cross the corner, and Jaune accidentally bumps into her.
"Oh! My bad!" he apologizes. Hovering his right hand over her back, the blonde assures Suzume won't stumble. A squeak escapes her throat, the warmth emitting from his palm causing a shiver to run down her spine.
Vanilla bean, sandalwood, and peppermint.
Holding her breath, Suzume takes a considerable step forward (that hurts her inner thigh) and nervously laughs, "Hahaha! I-I almost forgot to mention! I won't be in any of our classes next Friday!"
