I stared at Jaxx's side of the dorm. He was out getting with his 'friends', leaving me to have the whole place to myself. As I looked, I saw a book that stuck out from the rest of his spell book collection. It didn't have a number, and didn't match the arranged book colors either. And it wasn't like it was at the end. It was in the center, almost as if it was making an attempt to blend in. I got closer to the shelf and stared at it, contemplating if I should get it off of the shelf and open it. It's not like he would be home soon. Jaxx only left around 5 minutes ago. I gave into my curiosity. When I opened it, I saw a paper taped to the cover.

If he thinks I will, I guess I would just have to look at it... I thought. I decided to take a peek at the first page.
Seriously stay out Hayden. If you don't I'll kill you.
I took a peek at the second page. From the paragraphing format, it seemed to be a diary. I looked up. Jaxx told me that he was going to his 'friends' house so he would probably be gone for a while. At least another hour. Maybe I did have some things to lose if I did die... I probably shouldn't. But I always wonder why he's so mean... I contemplated more. It was in my hands. I could do whatever I wanted with it. I could steal it, Read it, Show it to Raven and Erebus, or confront Jaxx about it. If I really wanted to, I could throw it away in the trash, or even out the window. I had never had such freedom in making a decision before, but as I stared at it, I couldn't resist. I opened it, and began to read.
