"What did you mean fights?" I inquired curiously. "I used to have to fight other demons for other people's entertainment. It was like betting on dog fights... I can still remember all the demons I had to kill..." Jaxx answered. "Why would you have to do that?" He paused. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to-" I started. "My little sister Willow went missing 8 years ago. After she did, my parents had me do those fights, and other stuff to distract the public from it. But it's not like it matters... She's most likely dead now anyway..." He explained. "Oh...I'm sorry-" I began. "It's fine." He interrupted. "You can always talk to me about stuff if you need to..." I offered. "Can you just watch a movie with me?" Jaxx asked.
As we sat on his bed together, I made sure to silently comfort him as much as I could. "Why would you like me?" He asked. I froze. "I'm horrible to you. I don't even know why you would even consider me to be your boyfriend when there's so many better guys out there-" Jaxx started insecurely. "Listen here Darling. I don't give a dying damn about other guys when I have you. I've liked you for months, and I'm not giving you up when we can finally date each other just because you think I'm too good for you. So how about you take those crappy little thoughts, and buts, and burn them." I commanded. "What's everyone else gonna think...?" He asked. "You're a spawn of Satan. They would be too scared to say what they think." I countered. "Yeah I guess..." Jaxx muttered. I got a notebook out of my backpack. "How about you write down things you like about yourself while I get my stuff." I suggested. After he nodded, I went back to my temporary dorm.
I got my boxes, closing the door behind me. It wasn't too much to carry because of the little things I had to my name. Following that, I unpacked everything on Chance's side of the room, throwing his stuff away. Once I did, I checked on what he wrote, only to see a blank notebook paper. Jaxx stared solemnly at the floor. I once again sat next to him. "I can think of plenty of things I like about you." I commented, grabbing the paper. I wrote down everything I could think of. "Sure." He responded. I handed him the paper with at least twenty things listed on it. Jaxx's eyes widened a little in surprise as he blushed. "Really...?" He questioned. "Of course." I responded. I jumped a little in surprise as he hugged me.
Someone knocked on the door. Jaxx got up off of the couch and answered it, slamming the door in the person's face 2 seconds later, rolling his eyes. "Who was it?" I asked, getting up. "Erebus." He grumbled. I opened the door back up. "What?" I asked. He held up two buckets of popcorn. "Well I was wondering if you wanted to watch a movie with me." Erebus explained. "A movie?" I inquired skeptically. "Whatever friends do...I've never really had any so I wouldn't know..." I opened the door to let him in. "What in my father's Hell is he doing here?" Jaxx jested. "We're friends now." I declared. He glared at Erebus. As soon as my new friend noticed he froze in fear. "Oh...Hello Prince Jaxx..." He greeted awkwardly and weakly. "Since when?" Jaxx interrogated. "Since now." I answered. He glared at Erebus. "Don't fuck this up." He commanded at Erebus, walking out of the door.
