A/N : sorry it's late, the ending is rushed, and it's a bit short. I had an absolutely awful day but gotta keep the grind for yall 🫶🏻

Nightmare sat there for a few minutes, awkwardly noticing that the poor girl was trying to quiet down or stop. Usually rich people would start throwing an even bigger fit when people came near them, because they wanted attention. While it was refreshing to see someone was different, it was kind of creepy to find someone crying their eyes out and trying to stop because he got frustrated at his boys refreshing.

Crap, would it be a jerk move to just sit here? He usually wouldn't care, but rich people loved starting feuds and he did not have the energy for that. Plus, this girl was actually trying to be respectful with her crying, even though she had no reason to. He had walked out after her anyway, so it was her dibs.

What would Dream do? Well, he'd probably comfort her, but Nightmare had absolutely no idea what to do. He might as well try and see what's wrong, maybe that was the solution to this new equation. He had no idea how people worked, and he was silently wishing that for once his brother was here to save the day.

He sighed and stood up, walking to stand next to the girl. He leaned against the railing next to her and looked up at the surprise. He could hear her practically trying to hold her breath. Okay, so that was a bad idea. He could just run back to the room, but he didn't want to deal with the others right now, and he was in too deep to just walk back to his chair. Plus, maybe she'd leave after this and he'd have some peace for a little bit.

He cleared his throat, pretending like he knew what to do all along. He had to play it smooth, especially because Nightmare had quite the reputation to uphold.

"What did the people in your room do? Mine were a real pain to handle."

The girl exhaled, clearly not expecting a casual conversation. She tapped her fingers across the metal railing, pondering how to answer. Dumping everything on a stranger was a bad idea, but also seemed appealing. Still, most people didn't want that on their night out to relax.

"Same here. Really persistent. It's actually supposed to be my bachelorette party; I've been dreading it for months. My family has mixed opinions on whether or not I should even get married, and they decided to take it upon themselves to make my choice for me."

Nightmare just continued staring into the sky, but inside he was relieved. So she was also going through some rough patches to do with a wedding? Seeing that she had been planning for this months and was upset that her family may not approve her choice, it seemed her marriage was a much more intimate one.

"Yeah well, I found out about my wedding two days ago. My friends and I are here for my Bachelor party, and all they do is make fun of me and fight. I've been too buried in my work to do anything, but I think I've been engaged for a while."

The girl snickered softly. She'd never heard of anyone being so willing to get into a marriage that they'd do it two days after finding out. He must have quite the fiance to agree to such a thing. Whoever the other was, they'd probably planned it in secret to surprise him.

"Two days huh? I guess our problems are pretty similar in the marriage aspect. What were your friends arguing about?"

Nightmare smiled and shrugged. If this was an interview, he would have already hired her as an employee. She had so many down to earth traits most of the wealthy lacked. It was a shame he couldn't, but it was a great change of pace from his boys.

"Just the usual. Their love lives, how they never thought I'd get married, how I do so much paperwork... It's boring enough but once they get started on something they can keep going until it gets really annoying. What about you? I mean, we'll probably never meet again so just dump whatever."
