Turtle Is Dead

Aurora pov

"Then i hear it. Several pairs of feet breaking into a run" Frank read to Debbie and Carl, i was sitting on the couch opposite to them, Fiona walked in making her way to the kitchen

"The fire starter must have dozed off. They're on her before she can escape. And i know..." he read as Fiona cut him off

"Any chance of you getting a job now that you're sober?" she asked as Debbie looked at her, "Shhh! We're getting to the part where Katniss releases the jackers that kill Glimmer"

"Dinner in the kitchen if you want" Fiona said placing the bag on the counter, i got up and made my way to the kitchen noticing she was crying

"You ok, Fi?" I asked walking over to her as she let out a breath and wiped her tears, "hey, I'm going out" Lip said coming down the steps before looking at Fiona and I

"What's up?"

"Hard day" she shrugged looking at Lip and I, "Why are you so upset with dad?" she asked looking at Lip who leaned against the counter

"Fiona, we've, uh, been through this before. Remember? The last time dad was sober"

"Yeah. So?" she questioned as i sat on the counter looking at the two, "He, uh, had a bet with some guy at the bad and became the perfect dad. I mean, it was the first time he ever came to one of my little league games. And, uh, i hit a double. Fucking never saw him so proud" Lip explained

"You knew he was gonna go back to his regular shitty self" Fiona sighed looking at him, "No, that's uh, the thing. I didnt know" he said before turning and leaving

"Know where he's going?" Fiona asked looking at me as i shook my head, "Nope, but i gotta go fed Chip, ill be back later" I smiled hugging her before turning and leaving

I was lying on my bed watching Chip swim around, "Dont worry, Chip, ill get you some friends soon" I smiled getting up and feeding him, i turned around once something hit my window

And then again, and once more, i grabbed the taser from under my bed before going over to the window, "What you doing, Lip?" I asked looking at him before my eyes went over to Karen

"Uh, were were gonna go check out the lab at this college, wanna come?" he asked as i leaned don the window

"No boom box, sign and some flowers?" I smiled looking between the two, "Maybe next time" Karen laughed a little

"Okay, im coming" I said tossing the taser on my bed, "Not yet!" Lip called out as i began to closed my window

"And never with you!" I smiled, "Go to the front door" i added closing my window

"Bye, Chip!" I smiled turning off my light and heading to the front door revealing Lip and Karen

The next day

3rd person pov

Aurora was asleep on Lip's bed, they dropped Karen off at her house last night before heading back to his and falling asleep

She stirred awake once she heard a thud and things shift around, she and Lip fully woke up once they heard it again, the two looked at each other when they heard another thud

"What the hell is that?" they heard Fiona asked as the two looked into the hallways, before the three made their way down the stairs

"Dad, what are you doing?" Fiona asked looking at Frank, Debbie and Carl, and then the giant hole in the wall

"You fucking kidding me?" Lip asked looking at him, "Remolding. Son, grab that copper wire. It's worth a lot of money these days"

"No, dad, stop" Fiona said grabbing Carl's hand, "Why teh fuck is our couch on the wall?" Lip asked looking at the couch and then back to Frank

"We need a fresh start" he said taking his goggles off, "You know that's a gas line right?" Aurora asked looking at him

"Oh. All right. Fine. We'll start the demolition in the bathroom, kids" Frank chuckled as Carl cheered and the three made their way up the stairs

Lip and Aurora looked through the hole as Fiona was on the other side, "Last time he ripped up the floor boards. Remember?" he asked

"Shit" Fiona said letting out a sigh, the two teens made their way over to Fiona, "Said he was gonna put in Saltillo tiles. Of course, never did" Lip added

"Yeah, and i had to date that flooring guy for a month to get him to finish the work"

"What are we gonna do?" Lip asked as the two Gallagher's looked at each other, "We have to kill the turtle" Debbie said coming down the stairs as the three looked at her

"Daddy and Carl are up in the attic to cut a hole in the roof for a skylight. It's time to kill the turtle"

"Debs, you know he said you guys are the turtle, right?" Aurora asked looking at her, "Oh, right"

"Its ok, we get what you're saying" Aurora smiled at her, "Thanks"

"You sure about this?" Lip asked looking at Debbie, "It'll hurt less now then if we wait two weeks"

"Okay" Lip smiled as Aurora rubbed her arm, "What's up with the turtle?" Fiona asked confused as the three looked at her

"You wouldnt understand" Debbie said looking at her before they turned and made their way upstairs

"Daddy, help, i think i see a mouse" Debbie called out going along with the plan, "A mouse? Uh, hold on. Ill be right down" Frank said carfeullly stepping down the ladder

"Okay. Where is the little-" but Frank was cut off when Aurora tossed Lip the taser, Lip tasing Frank who groaned falling onto the ground

"I thought the taser didnt work" Fiona said looking at Lip, "Yeah. I just told Carl that. I took the batteries out" Lip said looking at her

"All right, open his mouth" he said once Fiona handed him alcohol, the two crouched down as Fiona opened his mouth, Frank began to protest as Lip dumped the alcohol into his mouth ignoring him yelling no

"What happened?" Carl asked sticking his head out of the attic, "Its better this way, Carl" Debbie said looking at him before looking back at Frank

Lip had gone somewhere as Aurora, Frank, Carl and Fiona sat in the living room and Debbie on the stairs, Carl was trying to cut off Franks alcohol tracker

"Just bracelet. No bone" Fiona said getting up once someone knocked on the door, only to reveal Steve

"-come on, little Time Geitherner's telling us how everything's ok" Fiona smiled as the two walked over to the couch, "Frank" Steve nodded

"Fuck off" he groaned as Lip walked into the living room holding stuff, Lip flicked Carl on the back of the head as Carl turned to him as Lip handed him a baby turtle

Lip went and sat by Aurora before leaning down and grabbing something, "Here" he smiled at the girl

"You fucking didnt. I was joking" Aurora gasped looking at the baby turtle in the container

"Joking or not, do you forgive me?" he asked as she smiled before leaning over and kissing him, breaking the kiss once they heard Carl

"Ew!" Carl gagged laughing as Aurora rolled her eyes and Lip flipped him off
